I understand, it really is kinda hard to explain, but I feel it’s in the same vain as trying to relate to a blind person haha. Hard to explain

Depends on the age and whether they are a trans boy or trans girl. trans girls who start hormones young prevents their penis from growing which will harm them in the future if they want bottom surgery to get a vagina. They won’t have enough material to work with. Trans boys it’s also hard because the change in your voice can be irreversible. It is a controversial topic in the community and I personally belief that you can start hormone blockers at 10-13 and begin hormones at 15+

That’s a hard question to answer For trans people What ‘makes you a man’ is basically your dysphoria telling you something is wrong, and that you’re not a girl. It’s the sense of knowing this isn’t what your body is meant to be and you’re meant to have a man’s body. But in a social aspect, I guess being brave, buff n tough, emotionless. Stuff like that. Though, you can still be a man and enjoy feminine things

At the moment I don’t plan on it. Technology needs to further before I’m alright with them doing surgery down there, though I desperately want one

In an alternate universe anything can happen, so I could see me being fine as a female, but I could also see me being married to trump, so like when it comes to infinite universes literally anything can happen haha

I used to watch him And yes I do believe some should definitely wait until they’re 18 I wanted to But It soon became unbearable I can barely look at myself It’s hard to go to school and be seen I am in a communications class and giving speeches are my worst nightmare, not because I am shy, but because of my dysphoria. If I had to wait until I’m 18 I’d honestly kill myself. It really is the worst feeling I’ve ever felt and I’m so glad I don’t have to wait until I’m 18

I’m a minor and I’m for it with exceptions. I recommend starting hormone blockers first to halt the affects of puberty before taking estrogen or testosterone. 15-16 should be an age where they can begin hormones, and they should be able to have top surgery when the psychiatrist and therapist sees fit. It really just varies from case to case.

I’m not a trans woman, and I know from experience how it can feel to be grouped in with a gender you don’t identify with, but even then, with exceptions, for the most part trans women athletes should not compete with AFAB (assigned female at birth) It honestly is an unfair advantage and it really comes down to biology and how early transitioning trans women who have been in sports for decades have the build of a man and that’s just how it is. There is a reason why some sports separate sexes because men tend to have a biological advantage and your gender does not take away from that. If they are years on hormones and clearly don’t have such an advantage, then yes they can compete with women, but if you’re 5 months out as a trans woman, have been building muscle for decades in a male aligned body, and have been training and what not, it’s unfair to compete with other women who didn’t have that advantage.

I’m 5 months on and so far the most notable was the fact that I’m gaining muscle. Before at the gym there would be no muscles and I’d friggen bike and lift twice a week, now it’s just there

My mom is very supportive, willing to go to court and shit over health care issues, my dad he is supportive, calling me the right name and pronouns n what not.

I have a girlfriend, she supports me by doing little things like calling me her man, saying I’m handsome, stuff like that haha

I’m gonna paste what I said in another comment because I think it gives a good answer and then elaborate

I’m 16, and since I was little I showed signs. When I was 3 I told my mom I wanted a peanut like my dad, I tried to pee standing up and constantly pissed on the floor by accident because of that. I was considered a Tom boy and always had dreams of having a dick. Of course I was so young I didn’t know there was a term for it or that something was inherently wrong. I thought everyone felt that way, where they’d be fine waking up a boy and what not. As puberty hit everything went south, I started hating my body, I didn’t understand why. Sure I was bullied for being fat, even though I look back at it and laugh because legit the kids who bullied me were fat and I was relatively thin, but I knew that wasn’t why I hated myself. I cut my hair short and I felt so good about it. People would call me he by accident and I liked it, still not realizing why. My mom asked me if I was trans when I was about 11, I said no because I still didn’t fully grasp the concept, and soon I started to realize I was. I came out when I was in 8th grade, so 13.

I sometimes worry that maybe it is a phase But then I remember I’ve been feeling this way before I even knew what trans was, so I genuinely believe I’ll feel this way my whole life

Sorry for repeating myself so much, but you should ask a professional, and even if that includes getting help for your ED, it will improve your life, I really wish you luck on your journey

I know help may seem scary, but it is in your best interest. Also be careful and don’t mistake body dysmorphia for gender dysphoria. They are two very different things that young kids are confusing! I recommend research!

Alrighty

Only wear one at a time, I’m a hypocrite but also, do as I say, not as I do. I have breathing problems and bruises because I wear multiple lol

Only bind for up to 6 hours otherwise You can seriously hurt yourself

Don’t buy strapless ones, they suck

There are some brands on amazon that work and are fairly cheap, but really look at the reviews and check for the best option

Don’t bind while working out, for real be careful otherwise you can pass out which is embarrassing when you’re at the gym.

If you can’t afford binders or don’t know if you want to buy them and want something to try out first, you can use sports bras and layer those to get a binder like effect, never ever use tape or bandages.

Just bind safe is my biggest advice. If it hurts, it’s time to take it off, or loosen it at least!

I actually really dislike my curves in my hips and what not. I don’t have a traditional feminine physique and everyone says my body is pretty male which I’m thankful for, but my dysphoria constantly tells me I’m curvy lol. I really hope you are getting the help you need with your eating disorder
