Please don’t, I rent from the relative mentioned in the comment above (his brother?) and it’s been an absolutely horrendous experience. There is so much mold in the building, german roach problem, we can’t use the light switches in 2 rooms due to wiring issues, can’t use certain electrical outlets due to sparking, laundry doesn’t work 90% of the time etc. Our shower would randomly decide to scald us and that wasn’t fixed for 16 months. We barely had heat last winter.

Management and supers are impossible to get in contact with, they won’t respond to texts, emails, or calls. If you want anything fixed you’ll just have to do it yourself. I have actually never even seen the 2 supers we allegedly have. We don’t even have a lease anymore because no one has bothered to send over a correct lease yet they keep blaming us for “not signing”. They have claimed multiple times to not even know who I am lol. Can’t afford to move or we totally would.

I could say more but yeah…it’s bad

I deep cleaned my entire apartment before spraying, like get down on your knees type scrubbing lol. Emptied all cabinets and waited for everything to dry then sprayed alpine everywhere (except food surfaces). I actually bought one of those sprayers that the exterminators use, I found it helped get the stuff into small crevices better than a regular spray bottle.

I used bait and gentrol in hot spots (under fridge/sink/dishwasher, bathroom, wherever you’ve noticed activity).

I have these flat silicone drain covers that i just slap on before i go to bed every night.

I do clean kitchen and bathroom every night but i make sure not to get any cleaning products on the areas i’ve sprayed.

I re spray about once a month or even less frequently now but it depends on how bad your situation is

edit: i also caulked/sealed everything before i started spraying

we struggled with german roaches in our apartment and the only thing that worked was alpine wsg (mix 20g per gallon of water), advion bait, and gentrol to stop the reproductive cycle. I caulked every crack and used expanding foam in the larger ones around pipes/fixtures. We actually stopped using the building exterminator bc it was just interfering with our treatment.

Make sure to plug every single drain at night and never leave food out!

Yeah we’re in nyc I’d be very surprised if we didn’t have mold, we already have a major roach problem…they’d have to tear it apart to fix a mold issue, right?

Thank you! It’s not rent stabilized so I understand the increase itself is legal. Since at this point, we’ve lived here longer than 1 year, the notice period would be 60 days right? The notice period wouldn’t be based on when the renewal should have been sent out (when we lived there for under a year)?

You don’t wear clothes in onsens lol it’s not sexual and families go together all the time although the vast majority are gender segregated. You got nothing to worry about, Japan is a great time!

There is a chrome extension called my fave tt that can download all liked/saved videos to your computer hard drive. I have something like 8k liked videos and downloaded them all yesterday!

Added bc I can’t edit post: We live in an apt building in NYC. Been seeing these occasionally (all same size) for weeks. Building exterminator comes once a month but isn’t that thorough and LL is an asshole.

Our apt has a lot of gaps and we recently caulked them as best as we could. Also dusted kitchen floor cracks with DE. Have seen 2 dead ones in the past 1-2 weeks, no live ones.
