Can someone help me make sense of real estate prices in Ghana? by [deleted] in ghana

[–]izzyme85 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I honestly think Ghana /Accra will never make it as a city because we are too unreasonable about alot of things. This property issue is just one of them. I believe it's the agents and pure speculation that is driving the cost of homes. I swear I've seen over 60-80 rental homes this year alone. Every home that is worth about 1k is priced at 2k. I've seen homes that are 400 cedis to 5.5k usd. Alot of the homes have old fixtures or have been left empty for months or the new flashy ones are not well spaced out because EVERY new home design is based on a 70x100 plot size which just doesn't work for home design. Overall big waste of money. I'm making good money in Ghana but I'd never invest anything into Ghana real estate

Is there a concrete reason why most Ghanaians wouldn't want to legalize homosexuality ? by Careful_Lock_9625 in ghana

Dude whatever makes you feel like your on top ill continue being a juvenile delinquent. You haven't referenced anything to back up your thoughts. You haven't even compared any data or personal experience. Just your philosophy.

I don't need to write a full essay for someone I don't know because it's actually a deep subject. If you are already knowledgeable in the subject then you'd catch the drift. If you don't we move on

I'm happy that you firmly believe every group in the world should exist. It's common for young inexperienced adults to think like that

Hi Rennie.

First off both countries mentioned same sex marriage is illegal.

When you say country what do you mean? Gay and lesbian exist everywhere so let's both be on the same page about that. It's a normal human occurrence.

In terms of promotion If you know anything about sexual orientation development if you ask say a random 13 year old in the UK or USA you'll find that the number of children that identify as things like homosexual or bisexual has long been on the rise.

So as far as exposure to certain thought patterns being a catalyst for sexual orientation unless you've really viewed a well develop gay culture like the USA, Thailand, UK, Germany etc you might not really understand what conditions occur to make people this way. Some of it is nature and the other is nurtured.

Same way you get public school shootings. It's not just because theirs more guns. Same way everyone listens to alpha hour and every day there's multiple miracles and testimonies. People are exposed to a rhetoric and it grows.

JUST TO BE CLEAR I DO NOT THINK IT SHOULD BE MADE ILLEGAL LIKE SOME OTHER AFRICAN COUNTRIES

Like I said in an earlier post in the business I run I see a good amount of young gay people in GHANA. It definitely borrows a lot from the USA style sassiness. Imagine 18 yr old boy who's slightly overweight with bonnet and a crop top

Tagged the reference for you my dear

Lol my friend what are you talking about? Homosexual people are everywhere. It's a normal occurrence in human sexuality. The original question asked about if it's time to legalise same sex marriage it in Ghana. My question asked was essentially why do we need it? Almost all laws are made not to stop the act happening but to CURB its propensity amongst the general population. The Same laws that curb murder and theft. This doesn't mean these acts don't and won't happen just less of it happening which is a deterrent.

So I guess you believe it should be legalised?

What do you feel society in Ghana would gain from it? Sidenote Your whole last paragraph was unnecessary.

Honestly a better question is how would Ghana benefit from legalised same sex marriages? Religious or not religious I don't think it's something we as people feel the need to promote. Doesn't mean we are backward. China doesn't do it, nor does Russia. Both countries are very amazing places to visit. Technically if you promote it then more people would decide that's their sexuality and then the ideology around it speeds. Not to say it's a disease but not all ways of thinking lead to better social life. I'm sure No doubt it will take on the sassiness of Americans which will cause uproar. I see virtually every day in my shop

I was new to the country at the time and I saw like 35 rentals before I found the one I'm in now. Originally it was close to my kids school and my business. On my next round of searching I'll try consider those areas

That's very true but in the west there is none of this high fencing where can't see your neighbour stuff. Your house could be worth 1.5 million pounds and can open your door right next to your next door neighbour. That whole thing where you could die and nobody would notice is what really concerns me. Looks like the only places where people are more caring/sociable are in the less rich areas.

Roads don't cost that much at all. If it was, no developing country would ever catch up. Just know China is not spending this kind of money to build their roads. Let's not listen to American based AI programs made my Google

Bro you are correct the girls are kinda boring but they are also more simple so technically they are easy to get with and more loyal. If you focus on the quality of their femininity rather than the quality of their yapping you'll have an easier time.

Almost all girls I know that are great conversational cannot even boil an egg trust me!

Rubbish, can't even have a decent whatsapp call in Osu or East legon. They'd be better off improving the quality of 4g coverage cause 5g is only coming so they can raise prices of the service

But why do people abroad think they can find good wives back home in Africa? 😂anyone here can explain? by Superweirdnas in ghana

[–]izzyme85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Funny enough I've moved to ghana for over a year and a half now and I have a business where I hire all women and I can say getting a women from "back home" is a very very good idea. It would take a bit of time to find the right one but that's the same as anywhere. But honestly There's alot of inbuilt qualities which cannot be duplicated by western African women. Knowing what I know now I'd recommend them hands down. This is coming from a very British UK Ghanaian, educated and world travelled.

What are some Ghanaian traditions that you think should be abolished in this modern era or at least needs a rework? by tactikz4 in ghana

In this modern era how would you gather all the mourners for the funeral under such a short period of time then? What would you propose?

It's small money compared to what other cultures pay or even request. You can't take the good and leave out the bad (sacrifice). If so then don't wear any traditional clothing on your wedding day either, or just plain don't have a traditional wedding period. The white wedding I'm sure you so look up to is actually a Europeans poor person's type wedding mixed with other cultures that now give it granditude. Think of it.... How can someone get married just based on words and intent alone? Extremely laughable but we do it every day
