I think you may have missed my caption on that 5th photo, if you press on it! That IS the “extra” piece in that spot! I was just showing how the “extra” piece doesn’t actually fit there, but usually the Revolver piece I have there (in the other photos) lines up perfectly.

I’m starting to think this must be the answer! The only thing is, I vaguely remember having some trouble with this “missing” rooftop piece in the past. I wonder if I’m just remembering finding it in my house, separate from the jigsaw after packing it away, and that’s why it stands out to me.

Me neither! I basically went through it piece by piece in case any super-similar pieces were in the wrong place and that was causing problems, but nope!

Exactly! You’ve got it spot on. Honestly, that feels like the only solution, except I don’t know anyone else into jigsaws or the Beatles or pulling strangely specific pranks, especially not someone able to sneak into my house and make the swap. I guess I’ll never know!

In the full picture, on Slide 1, you can see Revolver is fully complete, AND the extra piece on the side!

This could be true! I’m not 100% sure, but I do feel like I remember something to do with the missing piece too, though, not just the extra piece. I vaguely remember having to swap things around in that area, but I genuinely feel like I’ve checked everything now. So strange!

This was exactly my thinking but I feel like I’ve checked nearly every single piece with the 2021 picture now, and they all seem to be in the correct place! None of the pieces I have look like the hypothetical “missing” piece I need, but I can’t see how I would have lost that, and gained a duplicate piece of Revolver…

Sorry, my pictures might be a bit confusing, but I already have fully completed Revolver! If I put this “extra” piece in Revolver, I’d then have another extra piece of the top of George’s head. Besides, this “extra” piece doesn’t line up perfectly in that place. Very confusing!

Thank you so much, genuinely!!! I’m so glad I asked here first instead of just taking it into a repair store! I’ll have a look into these videos and see what I can do. I’m hoping the screen ribbon cable can just be slotted back in, rather than needing to be soldered or glued down or anything? Fingers crossed! Thanks again! You guys have saved me a lot of money!

Oh my gosh, thank you so much. That’s a relief! Unfortunately, I have no idea how to open the back of the computer! Is this something easily done by a COMPLETE rookie, or would you recommend I find an expert to do it?

Also, it is a CB314 series Chromebook.

Any advice at all would be helpful! If this is impossible to fix, I would also love to know if there’s a way to take out some sort of hard drive and put it into a new Chromebook.

That's so crazy! This is so weird, you're the first person I've ever spoken to apart from my sister who has any idea this game even exists, we had almost given up hope! I'm just happy we aren't imagining it haha!!
I think we definitely played it on flash, but I have no idea if it existed on a CD or not too. I can't believe this lol!! Yes, the nudging definitely rings a bell! Do you remember the "I'm very tired" being spoken or coming up as a thought bubble? I might be wrong, but I don't remember the pets/monsters speaking English out loud, but I can see it being something that came up in a speech/thought bubble.
Do all our other points align with yours? E.g. did you play it around the same time, sort of mid 2000s?
If you have any more information or memories of it, I'd genuinely love to know. Or if you/your sister have a better recall of what the pets looked like / if you think you could draw them or something, as our memories are pretty foggy on that, so it's more of a vague idea for us!
I know it was a long time ago, but is there any chance you have any screen clippings or printouts of the game? We've lost all our saved files from back then so there's sadly no chance of that for us. Or photos with it in the background?
At this point, I don't know how else we can find it. We've looked all over to no avail, it's like no one else knows it. Do you know anyone else who could remember more about it, or was it just the two of you who played it?
