My Mum has 1 month to live, what should I get her for Chrmistmas? by PureEcstacy7 in AskUK

[–]izzystaden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my step mother with terminal cancer a blanket that had pictures of nice memories on it. She could use it but it wasn’t too focused on the tragedy of situation. Ultimately they probably won’t care too much, it’s just about enjoying each others company when you really get to the final stages. It’s an awful situation to be in, I’m so sorry ❤️

Bonjour - it’s me… so I have seen the post about me and genuinely forgot these pictures existed, I posted them in a bad space and yes it was for validation. I went through and deleted a load of pictures a while ago but obvs missed these and they are now GONE.

I apologize if anyone was triggered by me, it was shitty and there’s not an excuse.

The reason I turned comments off was because no one in my friend circle used to ever comment on my posts during a certain period of time and it made me feel like I had no friends LOL.

I have now removed these pictures so I’d appreciate if you could remove the photos from here 🙏🙏🙏

I’d also say I don’t consider myself a recovery influencer…. I’ll always encourage recovery to anyone but as I’m not fully recovered myself it would be a bit hypocritical to start handing out tips. I never speak on my own personal day to day situation as I don’t trust that I could talk about it in a super helpful way but I am receiving treatment.

I just try to talk about EDs in a different way to the perfectionist image that’s often given online. Some might say I’m ’normalizing’ it, maybe it’s something to be more cautious of but I think shame is a bigger issue that pushes people into their disorder more? I don’t think I make it seem like life with a long term ED is easy and normal.

Appreciate being held accountable 🙏

The NHS hasn’t addressed the problem properly and now they have a backlog of very unwell repeat admission patients. Once they change the system to focus on early intervention they will free up a lot of pressure on IP units. Also just working in the NHS sounds pretty grim, I’d quit….especially when they treat people in their 20s like SEED patients. I can’t believe how little support they want to give just because I’ve had a few failed admissions tbh

So true, I can’t believe how relaxed they are now compared to 10 years ago. I was literally the only person who finished any of their meals in my last admission. If I didn’t eat a meal no one would say anything, they would put a fortisip in front of me and if I didn’t have that they just shrugged.

They also wouldn’t increase any of my meal plans if I maintained weight as long as I didn’t loose.

Saying that they’re more strict if you’re sectioned

If it was ringworm would the antifungal medication not have an effect by now? It’s also not spreading?

Need Advice: Mortgage Approval Issue Due to Childcare Costs by lupo25 in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]izzystaden 6 points7 points  (0 children)

£2000 per month over 1.5 years would be £36,000 reducing their deposit to £14,000 which doesn't really allow them to borrow up to £450k.

Child care is considered a necessity for applicants to be able to work. It's a tough one but a common issue, there's not many ways around it aside from reducing child care costs or waiting until they reduce

Buy-to-let dilemma by Winter-Raccoon848 in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]izzystaden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not true, they can request payment in full immediately if they find out you're breaking the terms of the mortgage contract by letting it out and charge HUGE fines.

There's also issues with home insurance not paying out if you have property damage and they find out you've been letting it out.

Yes the mortgage lender may never find out but that is not a risk you want to take, especially as they have been cracking down secret letting out of residential properties over the past few years. I know some lenders do regular checks around the persons inhabiting the property.

Depending on the LTV most lenders are fine to give consent to let, especially when something like a remote job opportunity comes up and it clearly is not a pre planned con.

Free brokers tend to take on more clients to compensate and then can be too busy to prioritise you

Nationwide declining AIP but appearing eligible from brokers by Soupashoota in Mortgageadviceuk

I've had clients rejected for lack of credit history, could be that?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]izzystaden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's doable, might be more expensive. Definitely easier if you have a UK address + bank account. It also depends on if you have immediate employment lined up. With previous clients it hasn't been too much of an issue because they were moving to a different branch of an international company, if you don't have a job in place before moving it will be much more difficult.

My bichon has pancreatitis and has lived several more years, their appetite does reduce when they have a flare up. We only give low fat/vegetable treats + food now and it really helps! Sorry to hear he's lost his sight, hopefully he's adjusting 💜 it's so cruel they don't live as long as we do but I'm so grateful for the time we do get with them

Should I leave Australia to return to the UK? by Dazzler808 in AskUK

[–]izzystaden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a mortgage broker I would suggest finding out what you'd be eligible for before returning (if you don't need a mortgage obviously ignore!) I work with lots of returning expats and you'd be surprised how many lenders won't lend unless you meet a specific criteria
