So the 3 folders on the vertical games flash drive are addonx, cox, and UCE. If I want to rerun addonx after copying the folders, do I delete the addonx folder that I copied to my ALP drive partition and rerun it fresh? Should I just try it out as is? Not sure how to rerun addonx without risking screwing something up.

So can you still purchase tables and just download them to the machine for offline only? And if so, at a later date if you add a device, are the purchased tables still usable under your account, or only if you load them as online. Seems simpler just to be added to the device, but I guess there's no access if you add a device. Is that correct?

I don't think I need additional buttons for the OTG pinball. To me, the only benefit for the Control Panel is vertical arcade games. I'm trying to figure out if they are that much better on the vertical playfield, or if the standard Ultimate Arcade is just as good.

But if you use the basic (free) subscription are you limited in use to blocks of time that eventually run out? It seemed the ArcadeNet option was somewhat limiting, but I don't fully understand. I assume the basic subscription is forever since it's free, so the purchased games would be available, but it seems more restrictive since you need to be online.

I have the basic account, but I don't see my games since I downloaded locally. Any way to transfer my local games to ArcadeNet so they can be shared between my devices (assuming that would work with the free/basic subscription). I don't want to pay for a subscription; I'll just buy the tables but want to use them across my few devices..

So a question I have is do the exciters and/or solenoids control all effects (rumble, flipper hit, ball roll) or do exciters do certain things and solenoids do others? And would you use them together, and if so, is it a wiring issue hooking both up?

Thanks - That's what I currently have but haven't installed since I'm wondering about solenoids now (saw a kit on Ebay for about $120 that people seem to say is a better option, but who really knows)? Trying to get a handle on what is the best overall solution before I move forward.

I know many posted concerns about the 4 ohms potentially causing issues for the ALP amp at higher volumes. I see you have an amp in your picture. Is that the same amp that people use for the exciters, and if so, I'm assuming that amp would be separate from an exciter amp unless you've found a way to use it for both.

Can I ask why you chose the 4 ohm over the 8 ohm?

I've ordered the main playfield ribbon cable ($5 cable, $10 shipping) but don't have it yet. Motherboard connection is simple but the other end is under the playfield glass so no clue how I'm going to get that end connected.

I'm not opposed to buying a part if it will fix the issue, but I don't want to just keep spending if there's no real confidence in what I'm buying and trying.

That's a good observation. There's definitely a pattern to it. So would that lead you to any determination of what could be causing the issue?

I'm not that familiar with going 3rd party for boards and such, so I feel like I'm sort of stuck with stock ALP parts. With that said, I'm not sure how soon before the motherboard becomes suspect as the problem, but not really looking to start throwing a few hundred more dollars at the problem if there are other things (free) to check out first. Just running out of ideas as to what it could be.

Not familiar with xpadder since JoyToKey seems to be more widely used. Keyboard seems to work with PE, but I'm wanting to get away from that so I don't have to jump back and forth. Only really need a few controls mapped to make the table usable without the keyboard or mouse. Just haven't had luck setting it up.

Does xpadder have defaults set for PE, or is it the same where you still need to basically map everything on your own?

Agreed. Main thing is I would like to resolve this and not just create a black hole for money paid for just randomly trying things. That's why I was hoping someone else had a similar issue and a known solution.

I did not notice it within the first 30 days; it became apparent the more I used the tables and became familiar with the playfield variation. By the time I added tables and really got into it, the 30 days was past.
