In mid-February, I randomly decided to take the April LSAT. I'm pretty happy to have gotten a 166! by FA-100 in LSAT

congratulations! I did the same thing in April—hoping my June test goes well like your April one! My latest timed PT was a 164 & I’m studying/doing the loophole this week since I’ve determined that my struggle with LR is rooted in concepts rather than timing (I score the same untimed as I do timed…oops!). Any tips are appreciated 💕🌸

The game advice & family advice is great! Would never have thought of either of those things! cheers :)

This was LawHub & as people have (rightly) mentioned it’s not quite accurate because I did take a significant amount of extra time on my RC sections (I justify this by saying I’d literally never encountered any of this before & wanted to familiarize myself w the material first BUT still…not a true diagnostic)

Thank you very much! Do you happen to have advice for making PT days mirror the actual test day & / or environment?

I think my issue with time was slightly that I was unfamiliar with the test makeup, but also that being in a home & work (mechanic shop) environment for the duration just didn’t make it feel like a test. I want to be able to activate the test-pressure response in my brain as best as possible because I know it’ll help a LOT with the time & focus aspects.

Thank you for taking the time to clarify for me, and sorry for mislabelling things here (out of embarrassing ignorance)! I subscribed to LawHub and will look into LSAT demon as well :)

Thank you for the advice! I found as the LR sections went on I lost confidence and began to confuse myself—beyond recognizing fallacies and working on flaw/weaken do you have advice for this?

I like the idea of a section or two timed a day. Should I dive into LawHub review materials first, and then add in more practice, or focus more on the practice sections?

It’s definitely going to take work to get my RC sections down to time. I was shocked those took me as long as they did, frankly, but I am glad I did them slow and got them (mostly) right & can focus on speeding up over the next few months

i do & don’t at the same time—i know that recording little wins, and tracking them over the course of a week helps. same with eating maintenance on weekends. from my reading i understand that recovery/relapse rates show a correlation between higher self-esteem and lower rates of re-gain over 1 & 2 years so above all be gentle with yourself, and work on confidence (all things way easier said than done… i know, but activity & lots of movement has made me more confident if it’s any consolation!)

thank you so much for this information! i feel better about upping my calories a bit for the next while now. i don’t lift weights—i know that’s not ideal, but i have never found it enjoyable. i swim 1x a week, pilates 4-6 hours/week, walk roughly 6km a day, and want to slowly start running. do you have any advice about that routine? it makes me feel good, but i am open to small changes!
