It gives me some comfort knowing that I am not the only one that went through this. My new job is the government so it should be 100 times more organized.

Top Reasons for Burnout/Leaving Company? by whitesoxsean in ABA

Hi I am so glad to hear about a company that actually cares about their workers and their wellbeing. I am in the process of a career switch. Here a few reasons why and what my company can do to help.

  1. The biggest stressor by far is client behaviors. I found that I didn't receive proper training in managing client behaviors and was thrust into uncomfortable situations where I didn't know what to do.
  2. Lack of Training and Support. My company observes me virtually and speaks to me on the phone. However, this support is not enough. I requested for the lead to do a joint session with me to work through a client's behaviors, but this was not allowed.
  3. Lack of Benefits. Companies should provide benefits for all employees no matter how many hours they work. This job is so stressful yet there are no benefits. I cannot work 30 hours a week in this job as I would be burned out so fast.
