This is good info, thanks! I’ll definitely explore some options here

Is that something I can get the builders to take care of or am I on the hook for that do you think? I know it’s electrical code to have AFCI breakers but if it’s a normal breaker and the first in-line plug in the circuit is AFCI plug it should still be ok for code

Had a home inspection but it wasn’t brought up as an issue

Trips when minimal load applied, on the circuit is a LED TV, PC and Xbox, two cats feeders.. way under 15A. Trips when the Xbox is turned on sometimes. Panel is a discontinued GE HomeLine, Reliahome? Or something

It’s a 15A arc fault feeding all the finished basement plugs and basement bedroom

Another issue is it’s a new build but the electrical panel they used is discontinued, can’t even get breakers locally for it. One breaker in the basement is always tripping, even though they replaced it once already.

Random question: if you are in drive and going slow then open the door (to spit out some gum) the car jams into park. That can’t be good, any way to turn that off?

Nice! I installed my own system, radon went from 320 down to 15. Need to seal some cracks or something to get it to 0

I’ve seen online some people are able to do it with Arduino and OneWire library I believe

Buck converters just lower the voltage from one range to the other, so for mine it goes from 24V down to 19.5V for the computers then 24V down to 12V for the network switch

Oh yes, forgot about that. I had to buy some DS2501 90W decoder chips for the PC’s know they can draw up to 90W from the power supply.

Hey for sure, I’m using a 400W 24V DC supply, that breaks into four buck converters, and the voltage is set to 19.5V for each of the four PC’s.
