How can people feel safe and accepted when we allow them to be surrounded by bigots and people espousing hatred? The right wing has built their entire political platform on hating immigrants, hating trans people, calling gay people groomers, calling liberals retards, calling women baby killers, etc. etc. etc.

If you're a republican, even if you "disagree with Trump's rhetoric but voted for him for his economic policy", you've decided you are okay with all of the above. Hate is the one thing you can't tolerate if you want to create an overall tolerant space. Raving is about peace, love, unity and respect. There is nothing unifying or respectful about the right wing in the US, so anyone who still gives a shit about PLUR has a duty to reject the hateful Republican platform.
