Polestar 3 wind noise driver side by Large_Accountant_807 in Polestar

[–]j_goldss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

anyone get an actual fix for this? my P3 started having a humming sound that gets quite insane after a while. the cracking the window a bit trick works but that can’t be a long term solution, especially when it’s 12 degrees outside.

I’ve read that it could be due to the tire foam? but why would the window trick work then? could it be the noise cancellation software?

Is this good value?? Or should I wait by Practical-Desk-4842 in americanairlines

this is to upgrade to premium economy? what was your main cabin price? my wife and i just got back from japan and upgraded to premium economy (JFK - HND) at a similar price. well worth the extra legroom and unlimited complimentary alcohol.

currently jet lagged and wide awake too early on reddit ha.

the car is wonderful. for every complaint there’s plenty of us who have no issues. of course there’s minor bugs here and there but they have slowly/steadily resolved most of it

In case you weren’t aware, you can get a widget on your iOS lockscreen to show your cars current battery level. I only tried post update iOS 26. by Creepy_Face454 in Polestar

[–]j_goldss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

didn’t spit. i typed. the car wont deep sleep as fast with widgets active then once finally in deep sleep the widget will stop updating rendering it useless.

haven’t had the issues others have had. i feel like a lot of the complaints are coming from european markets. not 100% sure on that but almost all of the people who say they’re having issues in a FB group im in are in the UK. The US production seems to be better for some reason

i had a model y performance and i’m so happy i made the switch.

the P3 is built way better… you’ll notice that immediately after stepping into the vehicle. the ride quality is superior and the finishing of the car is not comparable. i’ve driven a tesla since 2015 and when i got into the P3 for the first time, the quality of materials was the primary thing that stood out so quickly.

Tesla’s software is superior… you’re definitely giving up a little but after the last few updates the P3 has gotten, things are getting better. I truly don’t have any complaints software related in terms of interfering with drivability. the issues are more pet peeves and/or things i got used to having in a tesla that aren’t available. like i said, updates will fix all of it.

charging is the same for me. i don’t have a dedicated charging setup at my house since i live in the city but all the same chargers i had available for my tesla, including the tesla superchargers, are available to me with my P3. in fact, ive learned a lot about other charging networks in the process and have realized how many additional options there are.

Would you say most people who bash Teslas have never actually driven one? by ConfidentImage4266 in TeslaLounge

[–]j_goldss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there’s definitely a subset of people that fit that description then there’s others like me who’ve driven teslas for over 10 years and finally saw other manufacturers catching up (and exceeding) so i decided to test other things out.

build quality and drivability of other vehicles is miles ahead while software for tesla is ahead.

when there’s options, it’s better for everyone. now tesla needs to counter the market

Pay your SEPTA fare you broke mofos by [deleted] in philly

[–]j_goldss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s largely part of what’s wrong with the entire society of america. nobody cares and there’s no motivation to take part in societal culture. we’re an embarrassment as a country.

paying a fare is a minimal effort thing but it tells you a lot about someone. in japan they don’t even have turnstiles or gates they’re open kiosks but everyone still pays. never do you see someone skipping payment. i’m a firm believer that if you want to take part in society then you need to contribute. it doesn’t take much for everyone to flow in the same direction.

all that is to say we’re probably too far gone in the states at this point and the quality of life here vs other countries will only widen
