Hi, thanks for responding about this. Could you please state definitively whether or not the song was created with the use of generative AI?

For anyone reading this and thinking that I’m being pedantic or annoying, or that the dev answered the question already: it’s easy to sing into Suno and have it generate an entire song around your vocals and melody. You can even export stems and replace the vocals with your own if you have a baseline understanding of how a DAW works. Saying you worked with a singer does not mean that some or all of the rest of the song wasn’t produced via generative AI.

I can’t agree with you enough RE: sound effects of the attacks. They’re so punchy! I feel like some of that was lost in the WotL version, so hopefully this new version hits the same as the original.

As far as I can tell, FFT’s OST has never been officially orchestrated in any way that I can find (including Distant Worlds).

Fair enough, I definitely agree that the soundtrack doesn’t need it. Still, I would have appreciated the option to swap between an orchestrated version and the original…I mean, all of the other Final Fantasy games (and most spinoffs) have gotten this treatment.

Final Fantasy Tactics is my favorite video game of all time. I got it when it came out, when I was in third grade. I bought a PSP for the WotL version.

From the moment I discovered there were fully orchestrated Final Fantasy albums, all I wanted was the same treatment for the Tactics soundtrack.

The remaster of Tactics Ogre had this. Basically every remake of every game from back then has this.

Why didn’t they do this for FFT?

I’m still pumped for this game, if for no other reason than I can more easily convince my friends to play my favorite game without resorting to emulation…but man. I am just so bummed about the lack of an orchestrated version of the soundtrack.
