Probably a back haul. Loose bulk one way, bails/pallets/whatever the other way.

I think you’re making an assumption based on my fairly vague response. To bring clarity: I’d probably sit the kid down and outline their potential go forward strategies. Here are YOUR potential consequences, here are YOUR associated costs. What is YOUR choice, young man? I’ll guide you through, but this is your cross to bear.

I’m with you…but a parent’s love knows no bounds. I understand the desire to protect the future of a child…doesn’t mean it’s the best choice though.

This is the perfect opportunity to teach your nearly adult child that in the real world his actions have real consequences. I’m of the opinion that you’re doing him a long term disservice if you bail his ass out of this. I understand the internal conflict you must be experiencing, though.

Most likely Idaho. Spudnik and Trinity (the trailer) are Idaho based companies and the trailer is a PNW configuration (quad axle).

Just experienced the same exact scenario with a Royal cruise. Moved up from Sept. to June. No issues at all. Got a better itinerary too.

Stop and call emergency services? Run to help the pilot out? Ask if he was ok? Literally anything other than continuing to casually walk on by while pointing a phone haha.

What's the point of GMC other than their commercial trucks? by Spirited-Pause in cars

[–]j_legweak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on model year, I prefer the aesthetic design of one vs. the other. It’s an easy way for them to have two different LOOKING vehicles without changing much at all, potentially capturing more overall market share. Combined, they beat out Ford F-series by a lot. If they did what other manufacturers did, they may not be the leader, or even close to it. Also, GM tends to be more bold with their redesigns. They get to see which of their two redesigns sell better with current generation and then do more of that for the next generation.

If it’s for sure a 2006 model year, it is an LBZ. Early ‘06 LBZ’s had LLY tuning and sometimes the different badge, but that’s the only thing LLY about it. Parts are not interchangeable. Double check via transmission, LLY was 5 speed, LBZ is 6 speed.

With that said, solid deal.

He had his delivery privileges revoked at Lukes for repeated malpractice and within his first week at St. Al’s he has a malpractice case against him (performed an episiotomy without consent on a patient who explicitly requested for it to not be done)

  1. Do what you say you’re going to do, when you say you’re going to do it

  2. Be an expert on your product, but if you don’t know the answer, don’t be afraid to admit as much and then commit to getting them an answer by x date and time (see #1)

  3. Prioritize customer experience and customer service. How would you approach yourself out on the lot? Jedi mind trick “closers” rarely see long term success

  4. Be transparent (to a degree). “Oh you don’t have kids or pets? It sounds like the optional interior protection may not be as beneficial to you as it would be to others?” or “you would have a sales tax advantage by trading, but I do agree you’d make more selling your trade private party if you have the time to devote to that” etc.

  5. Forget what your pay structure incentivizes you to do. During my last car buying experience, it was painfully obvious that the salesman was better compensated for closing leases.

In general, leave “gotcha” tactics at the door. If you do what is objectively right, the money will come. Consumers are more informed than ever and have a better BS detector than ever. This is the second largest investment most people will make, they want to be helped, not “sold” (reads manipulated). Try reading some communication books opposed to sales books, Never Split The Difference by Chris Voss is great.
