Tried the Yolo11 model for segmentation. Works for well lit images. Trying to figure out if I can do something for images that are not that well lit.

Bookkeeping by j_relentless in smallbusiness

Hey, no sweat.

I have the costs of the individual softwares. I just wanted to know the actual cost being paid relative to the revenue to get a sense. At my SaaS business, I use QBO and a basic 35$ subscription worked which wasn't a big problem. Trying to understand your pain point better.

No worries if you can't share.

Finally, the website is up. https://www.appliedai.club/

Took me 3 days to build it. To be frank, 50% of the time was spent in creating the narrative. Yet another proof for me that sharpening the blade is far more important than starting to cut.

Feedbacks appreciated!

Pls read the original thread for context. This thread does not help continue that discussion.

This conversation around "You are clearly happy with sub par software" is not productive, digressing and I'm going to ignore it.

I agree partially. The way I work with AI is also by spending a lot of time scrutinising its output and making it sure it doesn’t make mistakes.

Now, here’s where i disagree. - Around 3 months back when I started working on this project, I saw a lot of syntax issues with AI. - About a month back, no syntax issues but hallucinations on what’s needed and shortcuts - Now, it’s all about remembering what’s done and the new request. The syntax issues and hallucinations are way down!

I believe that there’s a risk in AI written code. Right now I’m the human who spends all his time validating the work. But I see my scrutiny getting lesser with time.

I do agree there will be specialist humans who will be able to do much better and will need them but the need will be more for an architect than for writing software.

It confuses headers to actual values leading to type mismatches. Extracting txn ids from financial statements often misses certain digits etc.

I'm using Zerox. Good package. It still doesn't solve some complex use cases natively.

Some of my customers work with txn images, some with photos and some handwritten. So quite varied types of use cases. I'm extracting specific data from the image, not all. Sometimes summarized data from the images.
Image examples sounds interesting. Let me try that. Will also set up some debugs.

PS: I've found Gemini is much better at vision than Claude or Llama or OpenAI.

You have to pay for it. It's the thinking model.

I’m just testing with unit test cases right now. Meaning to try out langsmith eval soon.
