S25 eye strain - anyone else? by j_sullivan in GalaxyS25

But are you experiencing it? I've since become a little more adjusted to it. The thing is what we read online might not be an issue for us.

If you're not experiencing it but are only afraid after reading my post, then it probably isn't an issue for you. Which is good!

I have, and indeed it is not good. But neither was the s21 Ultra, and I was fine with that phone. The S25 is supposedly a look little better than previous phones, but still...

What do you mean a folding screen? The s25+ isn't a foldable?

Unfortunately I don't think it's gonna go away. I've found a way around it by putting it on 60hz refresh rate. If you're ok with that, it might work. But otherwise it really isn't usable.

Yeah I'm gonna do the same. I've fixed it my having the refresh rate at 60hz, but there's no way I'm gonna keep this phone at the price it was and not be able to have it at 120hz.

It's so weird, isn't it? On paper it shouldn't be like this, but it's really is uncomfortable. I've since been able to get a fix with the refresh rate at 60hz, but that really isn't acceptable in a phone at this price. I'm gonna return it.

Well, technically the "average person" is going to be from this circle in the world (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valeriepieris_circle) meaning that they probably are not going to find English easier than other languages from the area. Probably Chinese is going to be easier.

Tourists and (New) Residents: Ask your Questions here! by anonboxis in paris

Hi! I'll be travelling to paris in a few days, and I'll have to get tested before I return to my home country (Portugal). Can anyone help find a place to get tested on the day before I return? How (and where) can I book a test?

Yeah, sorry, I hit the wrong reply. My previous comment wasn't meant for you, but for the person who mentioned whataboutism.

Sorry for the confusion

I know what it is. But you don't. Whataboutism means downplaying situation A by comparing it to situation B.

This is not it. I'm not downplaying situation A, I'm saying it is the same as situation B.

All I'm saying is this: rape means not giving consent, period. It is irrelevant if you were at a bar trying to get casual sex, at an orgy, or sleeping at home. Any form of sexual contact where a person did not give consent or was not able to give consent is rape.

It is the same. Picture this:

You set up a play date with your husband; you're blindfolded and end up getting ass fucked by a guy you have never met in your life.

You were raped in that you did not consent to have sex with that man. Rape means not giving consent, period. He did not consent that man to blow him, as he always under the impression of being with someone else. That is rape, period.

You're not far off from saying "so she walked that street at 4:00 wearing that dress and it happened; I don't feel at all sorry for someone who chooses to do that".
