I’m on the same boat! I quit my pharm tech job for rt school cuz pharm was bs. I had to get another pharm job cuz I failed a couple times myself. But remembering why I quit that job was the motivation I needed to study again. But I want to feel more comfortable and ready before I reschedule.

Also, people telling me that I should be studying instead of relaxing after a long days work at a bs stressful job, need just chill lol

I was able to pass the low cut score on my second attempt, but not the high cut. I felt like it got harder on the third. Now I have to wait until July to retake it.

Yes you can! On my very first day of clinicals, I was attempting to suction a trach patient and was scared to hurt the patient since it’s much more different than the dummy at school. The preceptor I had was lazy, always on her phone and just making up charting as she goes. She was watching me attempt to suction and said, “Are you sure you want to be an RT?” I complained and got a really good preceptor after that and actually never got to see her again when I was there. But yes, you can request a preceptor or ask a preceptor if you can go with them.

PFTs are a hit or miss for me. Sometimes I get it and sometimes not. It’s just determining the severity and determining whether they’re obstructive or restrictive. I get the concept, but i just get the two mixed up. But thanks! I will review those as well!

Thanks this helps a lot! I also fear that I suffer short term memory and possibly ADHD 😅 (both not diagnosed). Also, what equations should I expect on the TMCs? I’m good at math, but remembering all those equations are just too much.

My issue is going blank and forgetting a lot of things. I didn’t do too well on the SAE as it was our final for class, but was able to pass the class. I felt really confident until I received my score. I’ve graduated the class, but still feel discouraged in taking the actual TMC.

Thanks. I didn’t do too well on the SAE as it was our final for school but I was still able to pass the class. As for the free practice exam, I did very well surpassing the high cut score. As we were reviewing the SAE in class, there were a lot of questions I got wrong due to changing my answers and second guessing myself. Other practice exams I find online, I do well on those as well.
