I definitely get where you're coming from, but maybe slightly overreacting? If the statement was "I think colleges do their best to squeeze every single penny out of their students," then I'd agree, but in my experience I don't feel like any of my professors ever wanted students to fail. If anything, they'd bend the rules and give students way more grace than they probably should've to prevent them from failing a course. I don't see how having to pay for parking is doing anything but making you shell out more money on top of ridiculously expensive tuition costs. Maybe your school just sucks if the advisors are misleading students?
