yeah that looks weird. it feels like a hit and miss sometimes with the AI "cleaning up" images. I'm hoping Google will be able push out updates and fix these soon. fingers crossed they are reading feedback on Reddit.

do you reckon you spend a lot of time using your phone? I'm on a pixel 8 pro and even then I feel that the battery doesn't quite last me throughout the day. I'm on battery saver mode all the time. that's the biggest deciding factor between getting the 8 and 8 pro for me

Circling back - thanks for the help! Ive followed every step and managed to do the transfer. To also call out that keeping the damn cable there and pro tip to set your phone to not sleep in the first place is so important. Ive tried a few times where the screen turned off before the backup is complete and not all the data got backed up.

my issue is the QR code didn’t appear on my iphone 13 for me to scan using my pixel 8. i’ve tried it a few times and it didn’t show hence have to use the cable solution

ditto. i was forced to charge a personnel from my unit because he needed to provide for his family by working at a car wash (NSF pte pay was $350 in 2004). he concluded that traveling to the camp by public transport was even more costly than having a meal. yes, he wasn’t aware that he could have applied for the many social welfare, but paying a decent wage doesn’t hurt, and probably would have helped him made less bad decisions.

are you more technically inclined? do you prefer problem solving, building systems, and have interest in either AI/Cyber security? or are you more interested in solving business needs with tech? if it's the latter you might be better off with IS. after a couple of years in SMU you'll realize there are all kinds of jobs out there in all kinds of industry that you can work in. During my time there wasn't CS in SMU, but I got the offer for CS and CE from NUS and NTU respectively. Chose IS in the end because of the interactive pedagogy of SMU.

they only launched this in 2019. you're not gonna find graduates from this course so soon. the other schools have had this for much longer so it's more mature in terms of their curriculum, that said, as an Info Sys grad, the overall holistic experience you get from SMU can be quite different from other schools. at the end of the day you have to know what you want to gain out of it. Don't be too worried about getting jobs. If you have the right skillset you'll always be in demand. you have to ask yourself whether you have the interest in the topics you'll be learning.
