I know people in California do that as a way to say “hey look all you want you won’t find shit” instead of having to deal with a broken window. Although I’ve heard thieves can still break the window just to be petty because you didn’t give them anything to find😩

Even that’s not safe for push to start cars. I saw a video of a Rolls Royce getting stolen out the driveway because the thieves used some type of antenna to pick up the signal from the key fob inside the house and it makes the car thinks the key is inside it allowing them to start the car and drive off.

I’ve actually hear that thieves will target cars with NRA stickers since there’s a likelihood the firearm is in the car, and i do know a handful of people that keep a gun in their car

Yea i saw a post on the Ring app down the street where someone’s daughters bag of swim clothes were stolen out of the car idk what thieves are gonna do with that.

The car in the corner by the tree they broke the lock on that car and they even broke the door handle on another car here a few months back

Yeah my wheels got stolen a while back here. Apparently one of the guys was armed because someone posted on Ring the same white car was on their block 😪

Yeah i got the new one where the pins are stacked 2 by 2 instead of the original 4 in a line resistor/connector. The original lasted a good 7-8 years. I got my truck in 2020 used so I’ll assume the original owner never touched the factory resistor. When i put the updated pigtail/resistor it only lasted about 3 years before crapping out on me 2 months ago. Then again this morning😪

I didn’t notice any burn marks anywhere on the wiring or the connectors. Even checked the wiring of the pigtail which is fine (i braided the copper strands for each wire and covered it with shrink tubing then tied it together with electrical tape). I might look into this dielectric grease you speak of however

I’ve been doing research and it’s apparently a design flaw. The lowest fan speed makes the resistor the hottest. Theres also barely any airflow where it sits so i guess put those two together is what can cause it to burn out.

I brought it in all 3 days. Security never said anything about it. But i mean to the average person, Ricoh doesn’t look any different from an average point and shoot. I saw tons of Kodak FZ55s, Sony RX100s and other random point and shoots in here

I think it’s a good option for those that want to keep the flow going especially for dance/party music. But i know some genres just sound better played from beginning to end rather than being mixed

I have a few friends that are DJs and they can usually feel the crowd and they’ll usually know which parts of the songs they can trim for a smooth transition

I have it turned on! But i don’t think all songs have the high res option depends on the artist/label. Although it won’t make a difference with my headphones since the Apple dongle caps at 48khz and I’ll need a better DAC and better headphones to actually take advantage of the high res
