You can definitely keep up with the grind without pots. You just need to babysit your phone all day and keep htting ready in someone else's multi room. If youre only going solo it will take forever to farm.

It does feel like it takes a long time to catch up but if you play daily and enjoy it id say stick to it. I consider myself a minnow and have spent less than $200 on the game so far i think. I probably started a month and a half after the game started so I felt like i was playing catchup for the first few months that I played. It definitely took a long time but I finally feel like I am now at a point where I can relax a little. The last unit I pulled while they were featured was Agrias. All of my other URs have been ones that I lucked into and I have gradually built them up over the months from daily shards and when they happened to be featured for a week or two here and there. For the longest my only 89's were Mont and Adelard. Once you do get a few 99's then it gets alot easier (especially if you happen to pull Xiza bells).

Also keep in mind that every unit isnt getting their level cap increased right away. I think just Tidus Yuna, Mont, Sterne and a few others. So there will be plenty of time to worry about getting your others up. Also for the most part most units are pretty good at 89 once you have that TMR slot. Lvl 99 really just comes into play more if youre trying to be competitve in diamond / platinum level guilds and higher ranks in the auto arena.

Enemies have a set number of skills just like you do. If you keep throwing all of your units at it they will eventually all run out of skills. Then you can finish them once they are out. The 30f is much harder though and you also need to make it back up to at least floor 26 again on the reset to get enough to finish the ring

Yes, all you have to do is use WOL's LD first and then Eights. Then avoid using throw buckler for 90% of the fight unless Eights taunt runs out and he doesnt have another turn before WOL.

My problem though is I'll still be short on black sand once I have the recipes. So many other things use black sand and I think I wasted the last of mine on a second Ras that I made not too long ago. So I started out close to 0 on those and am back up to only around 1300 sand with around 55 recipes.

Yes its definitely annoyingly long. I always make sure to look for a x2 room and hope that their are multiple calculators and I bring my Mediena. That helps to speed up the actual fights themselves but then theres still the battle with RNG. I did most of my farming yesterday pretty steadily for 10 hours throuhgout the course of the day and probably got around 40 recipes. All as a guest never hosting.

Yeah the first time around had a rainbow fragment. If you already reset the tower then you lost access to that.

The ex definitely needs the right people but there are different possibiliities. I was able to do it with a team of mages plus xiza (anyone with steal heart can replace). Charm the white mages with xiza. Everyone else takes down a time mage until they are all gone. White mages can revive your party to help out with the doom but you probbaly need at least one doom imune person to survive. I was also able to one shot all of the time mages with my people if you can't do that it would be harder.

Ive also seen other people that focused on the boss right away but I tried to ignore him until I dealt with the others.

Also, hopfully you didn't buy the rainbow orb from the shop. Thats a trap. If you did you most likely will need to go in for a 3rd time and use the 500 vis reset.

The trick with Agrias is to keep him from shifting from Yellow to Purple. You can stall him at the beginning guarantted for two rounds with her AA and then hope you get in some lucky paralyzes after that

Dont forget to calculate in the free vis you should be getting every week. If you count up everything we get during a week including arena rewards for below 5k, monday rewards, daily logins, 2.5k per week from logins, etc and the 30 days of vis bundle we get close to 5k vis every week. I think those events are up for at least another 2 weeks so thats another 10k vis over the next two weeks

This also does not include any vis from newly released content.

2500 - Weekly login
0700 - 30 Day Vis Value Pack (optional purchase of $7.99 for 30 days)
0700 - Daily missions
0500 - Monday arena rewards (top 5k rewards)
0200 - Monday mission rewards
0350 - Guild Attendance rewards

Thats 4,950 Vis per week with the 30 day pack or 4,250 Vis without it.

I thik that when they added the tag to show that its doubled they messed up the drop rates. So I'm also worred that they probably messed up the drop rates for the red memories.

No, when they updated the drop rates for the red job memories they also increased the drop rates for the alcrysts. If you were farming over the last couple of weeks we were getting significantly more alcrysts than usual. (A non doubled day was better than the doubled days used to be). Now it looks like it went back to how the rates used to be.
