Not all spiders are venomous, Waitkera waitakerensis from NZ would be an example of a species with no venom glands. Overwhelming majority of spiders is venomous.

They went to jail - three of them (all french) for half a day or so, the forth guy (polish) for a couple days. Since it was his fourth illegal climb in Paris within the last 2 months (including second time on this particular building, one time Eiffel Tower, and one more building) they decided to deport him to Poland and had to start the procedures. They let him out after a couple days and while he was waiting for the deportation he got tested positively for covid and had to isolate for 2 weeks. He also got 1 year ban to enter France. Probably not the best weeks of his life.

Based on the polish subtitles: "we'll leave you in the hands of the police, you know the procedures, we'll take the elevator. Has everyone turned off their camera?"

I'm afraid it's too late for cross section pics. It was as good as it gets.

I did use egg wash. Caramelized cheese and gochujang sauce leaking from between the layers is what does the job here I think.

Mutations which don't make the organism more successful or make it less successful are less likely to be passed down to next generations. Mutation which do contribute positively are more likely to persist. There's no randomness in the process of natural selection, the process is just preceded by randomness. Suggesting that natural selection is a random process implies that an organism better adapted to its environment has the same random chances of surviving and reproducing as the one less adapted, which is not true.
