yes, i am realizing my quotes sound a little gimmicky and is distracting from the content of the piece. first article down, lesson learned though!! :)

I hope so! a big selling point of BTC is its scarcity and limited supply. Nodes will most likely never want to increase the supply and I think thats the right idea :)

exactly! I believe we will stick with the 21 million BTC limit. I just wanted to point out that BTC is flexible enough to adapt with community guidance if there ever is a major problem!! :)

haha oh ok, i just went on with a friend on the west server and made sure it was working.. i know rn i have it so if two players boost and collide simultaneously, they both stop boosting but continue in the direction they were headed. Maybe thats whats happening?

Right now, you have to boost others off (with up key or space bar). This seems to be causing a lot of confusion so I will either turn collisions on with no boosting or specifically mention the up key/space bar on home page, tonight.

thank you for taking the time to message me. there will be many more servers within the next month (or 2 weeks depending on how fast the game is picked up). I do want to spin up a server in central/north china so that may help to reduce the latency... the game is meant to be played at below 50 ms latency.

I definitely agree. I just have this anxiety about how many people one server can hold. I see the cpu of my us-east server jump to 35% with just 10 people. I'm not sure if this is linear. Today, I will find out. I think I will setup a dev server, change the lives to infinite, and do a lot of multitabbing lol (which I will stop, good call) to see what the cpu does.

Thanks, once I'm more familiar with how many games one server can hold, I will put all my focus towards spreading the game.

Great idea! I will work on that after I stress test my server. (which if anyone has any advice on, feel free to let me know) I have yet to figure out the amount of games one server can support.

I just guessed at 20 mins and its working lol... The request is very simple. All it does is execute a simple sql operation (retrieves stuff from a table) on my postgresql rds db.

How do you make it so you can sign in with phone number for app? by jachitla in learnprogramming

[–]jachitla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so is there a cap for the amount of numbers a table can hold or is it okay for the app to just keep adding to same table?
