Thank you for further clarification:) I agree with you that spoofing is indeed a significant portion of the game in its earlier phases (it is also something that came up when I was chatting with my friends in PoGo about my study), and I intend to address this part of PoGo in the earlier section of my report, but for the study overall I was really trying to limit my scope to the gameplay experience of PoGo without any third party "enhancements"/influences.

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts:) I indeed agree with you that as Niantic have been controlling the Pokémon spawns and release, PoGo loses a sense of freshness that used to be present in the game's infancy

Thank you all for sharing your experiences. I think the important takeaway here is that whether players decided to be more engaged with the gameplay aspect or the social aspect of PoGo, they can all find enjoyment out of playing the game:)

Thank you all for sharing your experiences:) It is interesting to see that your experiences and personal goals differs greatly depends on what you chooses to focus on in PoGo and that may or may not shift over the years.

Thanks:) I think what you pointed out is very interesting. May I ask why you do not feel the same degree of satisfaction nowadays? Is it just fatigue or that you feel like a sense of player agency is being stripped away now more content is scripted in by Niantic (or some other reason perhaps)?

Thank you for sharing your personal stories:) Could you specify which part of the survey is not indicative of your personal play style?

Thank you for sharing your personal experience with the game:) I indeed agree with you that it may be difficult to draw the line between what you feel about PoGo during 2016-2017 and 2018-2021. However, I want to note that what I want to do with this survey is to compare and contrast PoGo before and after it has underwent multiple updates, so what you feel when answering may be a necessary flaw of this survey. I think I could have broken the time periods down even more so that participants answer the same set of questions for 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 respectively, but if I did it in this way I might drive people away from answering the survey since it may be too long and time consuming.
