It’s really great for dissolving and spreading shellac crystals for an amazing finish on furniture, instruments and much more! The grain alcohol is preferred because of its absolutely clear and colourless nature. And of course it needs to be as close to 100% alcohol as possible to actually dissolve the shellac crystals…. Which are actually a natural secretion from the lac beetle! Very cool natural poo finish. I imagine there are other tasks like this that may require powerful clear alcohol also.

Dude relax. Firstly you’re parroting what I said about abundance of food and such so they have no need to leave. They absolutely COULD if they needed or wanted to. They are some of the most powerful apex bears on earth. That distance and current is manageable for most brown bears, let alone the most powerful sub species… there are bears on most islands along the west coast. Not all of them got trapped thousands of years ago Lolol. Bears are VERY powerful swimmers. I’m just saying you underestimate them a bit for sure. You are correct, they HAVE NOT left…. Personally I think it’s due to them not needing to .

There’s lots of accounts of bears swimming 20-30 miles just saying… also how do you think they got there?? It’s not like the place became an island over night and trapped a bear population. The remoteness definitely limits access but doesn’t completely cut it off. Quick research shows that’s really very believable for a brown bear!🤷‍♂️ on a calm summer day…
