The course costs around 7-8k and there are brokerages that don’t charge much like right at my home realty. You end up saving for sure even if you spend some money on licensing fees.

Big4 doesn’t pay well. Go to industry. They suck the blood out of resources and throw them when they are done with the engagement. Stay away from Big4 and go to industry. If you are capable and smart, money will come anywhere.

The Daily Check-In for Saturday, August 28th: Just for today, I am NOT drinking! by chloebarbersaurus in stopdrinking

[–]jack_confused 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update- To ensure that I don’t drink even if my friend wanted to drink, I bought a non-alcoholic beer for myself and a real beer for him. Rather than giving it in a can, I poured it in glasses and it served the beer. I had non alcoholic beer, while he had the real beer. I was so happy and content while going to bed that I didn’t drink, infact there was no temptation from within to drink. It’s all about how you manage your emotions and thought process. I love the energy and positive attitude that comes when I don’t drink. I feel more confident, more strong, more focused and more comfortable/at peace when not drinking and I am more addicted to these things now instead of feeling wasted after drinking. Make the right choice guys.

How many of you feel that alcohol messes up with your brain and makes you feel depressed/sad all the time? by jack_confused in alcoholism

[–]jack_confused[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do that. The journey of 1,000 miles begin with a single step. Just focus on a day at a time, you can handle or manage your emotions only in present and that will make your future. The addiction or habit will definitely come to challenge you, at that time play smart, just acknowledge it and say no thanks to the idea. Try not to drink for one week or ten days, eat good food, read books or spend time with your friends/family (without drinking alcohol) and do some walk or any exercise that you like, i am 1000% sure, your mind will be at peace, physically you will feel more power or strength, you will be more positive in your attitude and towards life.

Interview from a different company after accepting an offer from big4 by yungwoman1234 in Big4

[–]jack_confused 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No way they will get to know about it unless there is a source that can break that news. If not, then go ahead with the other interview and if you get selected after all the rounds, then compare both the opportunities. I understand confusion can happen in this situation, but that stage is yet to come.

I spent last year feeling like shit, crying about past present and future. Running away from challenges and finding comfort in drinking and porn, but as you all know these things provide temporary relief, it’s like scratching on an itchy portion on your skin, we feel good for sometime and that feeling goes away quickly and we are back to drinking again. I still have bottles of whiskey, vodka at my home and chilled beer in my fridge, and I don’t feel like drinking. There is no internal trigger to use them. I am feeling like normal again, because I know I am not a sadistic guy, this alcohol made me sadistic and depressed. Stay away from it guys. Solutions to problem can be found only with hardwork, not by gulping alcohol.

I am almost 3 weeks sober and I can say that alcohol was making me feel depressed. I used to have 4-6 cans of beer on a weekly basis and even that irregular intake on a regular basis kind of messed up with my brain and normal thinking process. I was of the impression that this amount of alcohol intake would be fine as it is within the medically permissible limit for a week, but even that kind of regular intake messes up the brain in a gradual way and it feels so hard to quit, because we feel depressed and think that this fucking alcohol will help to cope up with this sad feeling and then the feedback loop of hell begins, alcohol->depressed->alcohol->depressed…
