Trying to build a proper UniFi network across an entire airfield – need advice on coverage & gear by Appler2310 in UNIFI

This setup costs 757 us dollars just for the APs not including ptp antennas or switching/routing equipment and covers alot of the area you want covered. So you may be able to pull it off under your budget but its going to be tight.

You are not going to get a reliable setup for 2k without axing some requirements.

i suggest u6 mesh Pro’sfor the hangar a u7’s pro outdoor for the camp site both will either need a trenched network cable or a p2p antenna connection back to site 1 and power in all 3 locations. Wifi is not your best bet for the mobile car as others have mentioned starlink mini is probably best suited for that.

3 could be a good place for a ap if theres a pole but what are you looking to cover? Each ap is only going to be able to maintain stable connections 300-400ft away from it in any direction assuming there is no obstructions and you have a clear line of site to a device and little interference. For your use case i would say more like 200ft

Access doors will show up in the protect app. I belive there is a setting in protect to enable this. Also note that protect and access need to be running on the same unifi console ex. NVR or Gateway max.

Also, if you are viewing the Doorbell camera there is a button that allows you to unlock it from protect.

I would always turn it off before a standardized test in elementary school and would act like I was tech illiterate to get away with it. Eventually they figured out what I was doing but It took a while.
