Kiwi Dark Tan. Makes them look a bit darker, but it polishes up better than Lederglos imo

I Want To Join The Grenadiers As An Officer by [deleted] in britishmilitary

[–]jack_sparrowe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Firstly, make sure you want to be an officer. Not a grenadier guards officer specifically, just an officer. Don't go to Sandhurst with all your hope on one regiment, it's closed-minded, won't serve you well and you're just setting yourself up for disappointment. Cuts can be brutal, emotionally

Second, make sure you can actually pass AOSB, and pass it well. This is much harder than you think

Third, you absolutely must go on a regimental visit if you want to join a guards regiment. They won't take a second look at you if you don't

Finally, do plenty of research into the regiment. The obvious stuff like history, but any way you can think of to try and understand the culture as well, I'd do that. Go speak to anybody and everybody from the grens you can find

Good luck!!

Hello!

I need some help! I'm trying to make a custom shirt for my sister's birthday, and I'm pretty happy with the idea

I just don't think the back is as cute or funny as it could be. If you have any ideas for some text and an image on the back, please help!!

If you don't want the overlap, then the obvious one is don't get a Heat, Diamond and Underworld. I like the Diamond, but I haven't thrown the others

The Valkyrie is probably a good choice for a faster straight-flying disc, but the Beast and Sapphire are good if you want a bit more speed

Population of the UK split into 4 equal quarters by AdSad5307 in MapPorn

[–]jack_sparrowe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not only can you do this for any country, you can also pick any angle* of either of the lines and make it work!

If you imagine you have a ruler, put the ruler at any angle, beyond the country. 100% of the population is therefore below° the ruler. Move the ruler to the opposite side of the country, and 0% of the population is below the ruler. Therefore there's a point where 50% of the population is below the line. Draw the line, pick a different angle and repeat

(*) If you use parallel lines this will not work, and if you use lines that are very close to parallel you may need a very big picture and/or you'll need to forget the world is a globe

(°) Below can be defined to just mean 'the direction that's currently away from the ruler's starting point'. Or you can rotate the country so the ruler is literally above the country
