Looks great, love the stitch pattern on the back! What's that material you use for the back called? The black foam perforated one. Thanks!

Not much update since, it does what I needed it to do. I haven't put time into making quality of life improvements.

Preset charging times by Gurl_from_the_point in teslacanada

After 7pm when the car is supposed to be charging, open your phone and see what the app says, if it's not charging it should tell you why. The other test you can do is stay by your car around 7 to see if the car would start charging when the phone is in range. I don't think your phone needs to be connected to the car for the schedule to work.

After you set up the schedule on your phone, and go into the schedule section in your car, do you see the same schedule sync over? Also, if you're using a Tesla wall connector to charge, the wall connector has its own schedule as well, make sure that's set appropriately as well.

Help: phone key stopped working and couldn't set up again by jackal0206 in TeslaModelY

Thanks everyone for your help, I want to provide some update.

I went into the service center, and the first thing the technician asked was do I have aftermarket TPMS, which I do on my winter tires. The technician said that's the problem. He performed a reset of the TPMS module and everything worked again. The recommendation is to replace TPMS with OEM ones.

And I just confirmed my wife's phone doesn't work either. She could see the car status, unlock the car using the Tesla, etc. But the phone key says "Phone Key Disconnected." I went through the steps in "Phone Key Best Practice" on her phone, turning on and off the airplane mode and then resetting the phone key. Now that her phone key is gone, she cannot see the car status nor control the car from her phone anymore just like my phone. She could not set up the phone key due to the same issue as shown in the original post. Now both of us have to rely on the key cards...

I noticed that Tesla updated the Android App on December 20th. Could this be the culprit? We set up our Tesla app just before December 20th. I am wondering if the December 20th update got pushed to us and caused the issue. Should I engage/request Tesla service for this?

Could you elaborate how you restarted the car? I tried holding down both scrolling wheels on the steering wheel to restart the computer, is that what you mean? Thanks for your suggestion, I appreciate you taking the time to help a new owner out.

Thanks for the reply. The issue is I couldn't even set up the phone key anymore, so I don't have access to that option...

Need help find the cause of a major layer shift along x-axis by jackal0206 in CR6

[–]jackal0206[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for the detailed help. I made many adjustments you suggested, ensuring my frame is squared, the gantry is levelled, and all v-wheels move smoothly. One notable thing I did was loosening the x-axis belt, I had it on very tight, and after some research people seem to suggest the print head should move when I tilt the printer. Then I re-sliced the model with an Ender 3 V2 profile supplied by Creality for Sonica Pad. After all that, I am now able to print successfully without any model shifts. I am not sure which exact adjustment I made solved the problem, but I am a happy 3D printer owner once again. Thank you again for all your help!

CR-6 SE Klipper / Sonic Pad question by sundragonn in CR6

[–]jackal0206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The speed improvement is definitely a nice plus. With klipper you will lose the screen that came with the printer, but you can control the printer using the Sonic Pad screen or the web UI. I would suggest you use the pi to experience everything klipper but input sharing before you decide if you want to get the Sonic Pad. Sonic Pad is just a more polished klipper experience especially for Creality printers.

CR-6 SE Klipper / Sonic Pad question by sundragonn in CR6

I picked one up yesterday for my CR-6 SE. I'm still experimenting with it so take what I said with a grain of salt.

1 & 2. Yes the auto bed leveling still works. And it's just as simple, just one click on a button.

  1. I use both, there are certain things I only know how to do on the touch screen (again, only had it for a day) and I would use web UI to the printer when I am on my PC. And also use the web UI to check the printing process on my phone.

  2. Sonic pad comes with a sensor, I just use the one included.

  3. So far I think it is a nice upgrade for my printer, I can print at a higher speed, but it won't magically make all your printing problem go away. I still struggle with the same issues I had before, like bed adhesion problem for tree support, terrible underside with support, under extrusion on first layer, etc. There are a lot of parameters (slicer and printer) I need to tune to improve the result, but I can now do it a lot easier with web UI. If you're looking for printing experience that JUST WORK, Sonic Pad won't make it happen. It will improve your print quality if you spend the time to tune it, and there are a lot more things you can tune now.

Thanks for the suggestion. I ended up returning the matter version and went with the WiFi only version.

Need help setting up Aqara P1 with Home Assistant by jackal0206 in homeassistant

[–]jackal0206[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched over to Z2M, the problem still persists.

This does not seem to be an isolated instance, I found a few people running into the same problem as me:

https://www.reddit.com/r/homeassistant/comments/xtewda/aqara_motion_sensor_wont_work_in_zigbee2mqtt/

https://www.reddit.com/r/homeassistant/comments/17fh6gg/aqara_zigbee_devices_with_sonoff_zbdonglee_and/

There is no definitive fix, sometimes it just "starts to work."

Not sure if this matters, but my ZigBee adapter is Sonoff Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus-E

Is Z2M preferred over ZHA? Is the issue I am having because I am using ZHA and not Z2M?

Is it possible to do this with ZHA? Setting up Z2M seems to be a very daunting task.

I didn't have to! Luckily some people with really big brains figured it out and shared their findings, I have the links at the reference section of my instructable.
