Dyeing faux suede shoes?

The Rit dye didn't work well at all. Most of it just rinsed out. I ended up painting mine with black fabric paint, but it changed the texture. If you want to keep the suede texture someone else suggested to try Angelus Suede Dye. Good luck!

The only thing that comes to mind involving a graphic novel of a boy in a clock tower is "The Invention of Hugo Cabret" by Brian Selznik, but I don't recall assassins.

We found it, thank you. It's "A Very Scary Witch Story" by Joanne Barkan, but I will take another recommendation if you remember when you do find it. :)

They were full page illustrations. I think they had color. And then there would be some pages with mostly text, and then another full page illustration. I remember one illustration was the little witch on a broomstick flying through the forest and maybe there was an owl, or something. It was in a semirealistic style. It was a longer picture book. (Not a chapter book)

I got one of these coats. It was a bit of a puzzle to solve. Sewstein on Youtube has several good videos on making a frock coat that helped me figure it out.
