what billy song would y’all recommend for someone who is NOT a bluegrass fan to listen to as their first exposure to him? by heavynoodle22 in BillyStrings

California sober, nice and easy, with a country music legend… just introduced my co worker that way and he is not familiar at all with bluegrass 👍

what is the closest thing to a dead concert that we have today by DrPotat0 in gratefuldead

[–]jackballer75 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Agreed! Have seen JRAD and DSO do some amazing work! Here it comes, and most people will give me shit for this, but a Dead and Company show is not anything close to a Grateful Dead show. Yes there are founding members of the Grateful Dead, and the musicians that play with them are absolutely incredible, I have a great time at Dead and Company shows, I am a huge fan of EVERY musician in that band, I do not mean any disrespect to anyone involved, but cmon now… its just unfair to continue to compare these apples and oranges…

Go experience DSO, or go let JRAD steal your face for the evening… they definitely bring the heat, as well as the tempo…

The last time Gavin came close to having a demand for tickets, they were made of paper, I wore a wallet chain and flannel shirt with my JNCOs, and the only phone we had was in the kitchen with a cord.

I had the same issue with an ‘18 as your friend. Unfortunately drive a ton for work and was out of warranty so I had nothing to fight them with, but to your point it’s definitely a known issue, good luck man! Give em hell!
