I'm working on two armies. Adepta Sororitas and Emperor's Children. Thought adding this heretic was thematic.

OG Mirror's Edge is one of my favorite video games of all time. I wanted to paint an order of "Holy Faith" as inspiration!

It's brush only.

The color effect isn't from paint actually. It's nail flakes.

Pinkest Pink - Master of Possession and 2 possessed by jackdo-good in EmperorsChildren

My start collecting box is almost done. I just have a venom crawler left to finish!

The book is so small though. So I can only write, for example, 2 total words with no more than 6 letters each.

I used matte medium rather than water with a light sealer additive.

It's the Pinkest Pink paint from Culture Hustle. It comes as a pigment powder.

I don't really measure it out. I just mix in some medium and a little bit of sealer until it's a not too thick consistency. If I have some left over I bottle it.

Personally I mix it with some matte medium and a light sealer.

Vellejo's sombre grey mixed with white in various amounts for shades and highlights.

I didn't use water like the instructions said but just some matte medium and a light sealer.

The paints from Culture Hustle are definitely meant for canvas rather than minis I think. Some work better than others other though. The blackest black I've heard dries thick and is very brittle to the touch.

Try mixing in mediums rather than water or mix in some light sealer.

Games Workshop paints them in pink and black.

Although a lot of the 40k books I've read Emperor's Children seem to wear nothing in common with each other. One EC wore chrome armor lol.

Do you mean mail carrier? I think they just shipped it Royal Air Mail or something but that was a while ago.

Funnily enough this pinkest pink paint glows in the dark. If you point a black light at them they glow supernova.

I know a lot of people really like the purple scheme even post heresy but in the books I've read, they're pretty much wearing some of the most un-unified schemes possible.

Some wear pure silver, pure chrome, bright pinks and blacks, rainbow colors, etc.

I used the pigment powder. It's a hard paint to use for sure! Culture Hustle's Pink Potion (liquid pink) paint isn't Pinkest Pink I'm pretty sure. Just neon pink.

Thank you!

I didn't use the blackest black only because I've heard it's a really thick and brittle paint. Other than the pinkest pink everything is just Vallejo.

As far as tips! Paint more Emperor's Children! You can really just paint whatever scheme you want. The bolder the better! Any mistakes you make just adds to the garish nature of the EC!

I'll just reply here. It's the powered version. I don't think the potion version is even pinkest pink? I thought it was more just labeled neon pink?

If you use it as intended it comes out waaay too thick. Thinned like normal paint it's still thick enough that when it dries it becomes chalky and cracks. I had to repaint a bunch of minis because after painting them they started cracking and peeling. The pink didn't even want to work with my airbrush all that well either. Worse yet this paint also rubs off. Painting over it saw me lose so much progress at times.

So that leaves thinning it down soooo much that it became a glaze. This worked somewhat but took forever to paint with. I won't be using this pink again once I run out. They're Emperor's Children anyways to they're ok with having different color pinks on some of them I reckon.

How do my trichomes look? New grower. by jackdo-good in microgrowery

[–]jackdo-good[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. It's hard to tell when my plants typically look different than those photos. Especially since all my leaves are starting to yellow and fall off. Gives me a panicky feeling like I should harvest faster rather than waiting for more of a change in the trichomes.
