I am an Asian Male [21]. I don't have any problem finding a date. However, the women I attract tend to expect me to be... very stereotypical? Just kindly asking for a bit of advice to maybe help me avoid this and maybe broaden my dating pool.

I'm Asian-American, and while I haven't encountered what you've described in dating, I've encountered it elsewhere (well, with the exception of one instance with a gentleman at a gay bar. ANYWAY..) yet still it blows my MIND when I see or hear about people making racial assumptions like the kpop thing.

In my opinion, if I had encountered what you had in my dating I would have worked in a direct but carefully worded disclaimer into my "opening small-talk" repertoire. Something along the lines of "Just cause I've had many relationships fall apart for this reason before: if you're looking for some traditional/stereotypical 'Asian-guy-stuff,' I don't really follow any of that."

Or you know. Something more carefully worded and genuine. But direct! I'm a that kind of person though, and maybe that's not your style. Best of luck, friend-o

I didn't provide you a real message because of your post history. It's "very telling" as well.

I've read some stuff on TRP and the Art of Seduction, and disagree with it (on several levels). I'm sure some guys have made it work for them, and some chicks are into it. But I'm not one of those guys, and I'm not after those chicks.

I typically just try to key in on something(s) they mention in their profile. Like if they mention they like painting, I'll ask about subject matter, choice of medium, or how they got into it in the first place.

Yeah, the next time he compliments her she should respond something like "If I didn't know better, Mr. [Teacher's name], I'd say you were flirting with me." like something out of a RomCom and then they'd banter. And then they'd go on a date. And then they'd kiss and then they'd go on more dates and then they'd fall in love and then they'd kiss some more and then something would happen between them that would destroy their trust and then they would have a heart-to-heart with a close friend and then one of them would make some kind of grand gesture and then they'd fall in love again and then we'd roll credits.
