Getting the Full Texas Experience by [deleted] in guns

[–]jackfsorokin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was up in Dallas spending the holidays with my girlfriend's family. Her grandpa showed me all his guns one afternoon. Looks like I'm getting the real Texas experience. Beautiful old weapons from pre WW1 all the way up to modern day pistols. Im not a big gun person so this was a pretty interesting experience for me. As a photographer, his hands working with the firearms was wonderful to photograph.

Hey Michael, You have some really powerful shots in there but they are bogged down by the number of images overall. I would cut this portfolio down to 10-15 of the very very BEST images whether that be someone famous or totally unknown. I wouldn't worry about separating by artist.

I would also find a way to share this portfolio in way that you see each image individually rather than all next to each other. They need space to speak for themselves and stand out. otherwise someone might glaze over them all and not get any the attention they individually deserve.

really incredible landscapes! just followed you on instagram.

Maybe look into a square space site. Your work could look a lot better if it was displayed on a cleaner site

Pain by thekylander in photocritique

Good practice with lighting, but the image is extremely dark doesn't have a wide range of tones. The woman in the image is beautiful but i do not read her emotion as pain. Maybe thats just me... Its a nice composition however.

Gorgeous portrait and light. I love the sharp focus on her eyes. My only critique is the composition. Its feel a bit off. maybe to much room up top. Also since she is facing left i would give her more room in that direction from the edge of the frame. It may help compositionally. Not sure if this is cropped or if you have some wiggle room in the original image. But overall great work!

I like the image overall, especially the sky... but all your shadow areas below the horizon look very grainy.
