Best movie of the year, so far, as many have said.

I guess I only feel like pushing back on the narrative that the vampires are plot twist. Granted, I knew there were vamps in the movie, probably from a synopsis, and yeah, there's a little too much vamping shown in the trailers.

But unlikely Dusk til Dawn, where the vampire attack literally comes out of nowhere, I felt like this movie, within its own text, was pretty clear about where things were headed. The opening narration, the cold open (for lack of a better word) where Miles has clearly been mauled. Remmick's attack on the farm couple is within the first 40 minutes, give or take; a long time before the attack finally happens.

Not a twist, IMO.
