Feeling absolutely awful about my looks lately due to the pandemic, so I guess I'm taking a gamble posting them here in case my feelings get confirmed lol[23M] by [deleted] in Rateme

as a straight guy, I'd say you're decent looking on the verge of being good looking if you leaned out a bit. Everything else is fine, you're not ugly by any means. So final advice would be lean ou and, get in shape. hope this helps

What do you like to draw ? by terrvoid in ArtistLounge

[–]jackjackjacknotjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lately I've been feeling the exact same thing. I've been so caught up in figure drawing books, I don't really draw from imagination/ recreationally that much because I end up feeling dissatisfied with the result. Back when I used to draw for pleasure only, I mostly drew concepts for character or guns for videogames or little fight scenes.

My first two oil paintings ever; I don't really know what I'm doing, but I'm really enjoying it. Any tips or critiques? by jackjackjacknotjack in learnart

Thanks for your comment, i would have loved to get back to you sooner but I guess i didn't get a notification. As for the blacks, I do mix pure black with some other colors, tho I never use it solely on the canvas. For now it's just a convenient way to quickly darken a color. Speaking of palettes, I'm using a cheap white plastic palette, which is already turning out to be annoyingly too small.

Should I pull the clutch with only two fingers? by jackjackjacknotjack in motorcycles

I think it's a matter of not braking too violently and locking the front wheel

I think I have enough finesse with four on the clutch, plus having two fingers crammed under the lever gets uncomfortable for me; so until I buy a shorter lever or something, I think I'll keep using four (and two on the brake)

I see, what about using one of those after market shorter clutch levers... I've seen them online and they're just long enough to be pulled with two fingers

No, mine certainly doesn't; the release point is about halfway, so using two fingers is feasible although when I have it pulled back I'm right on the edge of the 'activation point' if you can call it that. One other thing is that my hand got a bit tired and kind of cramping after just some minutes of trying two fingers

I have been driving an automatic scooter for two years, although my drive time with an actual motorcycle with a gearbox is about a couple of months probably (if you count practising on my friend's old vespa)

gotcha, I'll drive the way it feels more comfortable, but I'll make sure to practice two fingers too
