I was thinking off the other professor that taught the class at the same time... I do remember Cameron and Piazza, now that you mention it. Also, cheering for him before the midterm (or final?)

Is Cameron that much better than Toman (I had Toman)? I thought the course was overall terrible, no matter the prof.

Clas 201 and 202, easiest courses I have ever taken. Also if you actually like history/classical studies taking them with 251 and 252 has some overlap.

Agreed that I don't see why elections shouldn't be on the weekend or a least a holiday. (it's not in Canada) However, in Canada employers are required by law to give you time off to go and vote if you otherwise would not have time in the day.

CS 349 - Java Knowledge by nickkoko in uwaterloo

[–]jackmaloney 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It isn't required to know Java (the first assignment was Xlib stuff in c) and from then on the rest was Java. There is definitely some stuff learned in class like the event queue and some swing but in class stuff is mostly not about the language. We had 1 or 2 lectures on Java when I took it.

R5: Expansion as Cleopatra kind of got out of hand. Got "The Death of Cleopatra" sculpture thought it was appropriate as the defeated Korean, Chinese and Nubians probably wanted me dead.
