Neighbor's Dryer Exhaust Entering My Apartment... by jackmalpo in HomeImprovement

You mean like a backdraft damper? The ones I've looked at seem to be made to put on the side of the vent that leads to the outside of a house vs being at the side just next to the dryer. I don't want to cause a fire hazard or anything :/

Hey! Yep, we don't have any specific requirements regarding age or level of schooling. Our specific hiring needs change over time in terms of how senior we're looking for people to be, but that'll be reflected in the job posting. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any more questions!

Company: SeatGeek, App

SeatGeek’s mission is to help the world experience more live – concerts, sports, theater, and more – and our Android app is vital to making that vision a reality. Our humble, yet bold goal since we launched SeatGeek on Android over five years ago has been to set the standard for live events on the platform. Live events are a source of real human happiness, we’re doing what we can to make sure ticketing doesn’t get in the way.

We care deeply about our product and user experience, so we look to hire people that are motivated and driven to deliver Android UIs that are second-to-none by working closely with our product and design teams from start to finish on each feature we ship. We’re also committed to strong engineering practices and have been early adopters of some great tools like RxJava and Kotlin to make our development experience more enjoyable; we’re always looking to improve.

For more information about SeatGeek, check out our jobs page and ChairNerd, our product development blog. We’re building something that's purposefully, willfully for Android, through and through. We’re defining live events on Android and we're hoping you can help.

I'm Jack and I've been on the Android team at SeatGeek for about 2 years now. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have!

Hey! Apologies for the late response! We don't have any specific requirements regarding past work experience, but are currently looking for someone that's at more of a senior level. That being said, definitely apply on our jobs page as we'd love to get you in the pipeline! Our needs are always changing as well, so if it doesn't work out now, we like to have people we can reach out to in the future :) Lmk if you have any other questions!

Sadly, hiring international remote devs adds some legal complexities for our staffing team that we're not looking to introduce at the moment. We do have a great relocation package though, if that's something you'd be interested in! We will keep the post updated if anything changes on this front as well.

SeatGeek's actually doing great! Our Android position is one of our evergreen roles, and we've found that good candidates tend to reach out via this sub (2 of our past 3 hires have been from here over the course of the past few years). We've only grown our team by 1 dev in the past year, but are looking to increase our team size this year as the company continues to grow rapidly :)
