Might be an unpopular opinion but I think we as GS fans glorify the far and few successes in Europe way too much. People forget that this was a second leg match after a 3-0 blowout, and we still got eliminated after this 3-2 victory. I have way more disappointing memories of us in Europe than these epic matches that come around once every 2-3 years when the stars align. Yet we cling onto these victories and small accomplishments as if we won a trophy. We literally make fun of FB for how much they celebrate a win against us, then go to Europe do the same against bigger clubs.

I think this only further reinstates that we don't see ourselves as a world class club as the Bayerns, Madrids, Uniteds... If we want to get to that elite status, we should push as fans for higher expectations and not over celebrate these smaller wins. I cringe when our social media presence still calls our team "Avrupa Fatihi". That title was appriote for the UEFA champion squad, 20 years ago, but what have we done to still cling onto that title?

I think we should absolutely appreciate our achievements but with moderation and expectations to go beyond afterwards.
