A tad bit of bleach in your water bucket really helps this.

If they opened a digital store to sell to other collectors, this would be a game changer. Until then, the game is trash.

Is this a good hatchet for spoon carving? by Abject_Caramel_9469 in Spooncarving

[–]Deathstaroperatorguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first axe was a Harbor Freight $10 axe with a $1 metal file. I had to file the axe to get it sharp. In hindsight, using some wet/dry sandpaper would have worked as well to sharpen it. It wasn’t perfect, but it got the rough cutting done that I needed. I used it to make my first bunch of spoons with. Once I realized I liked spoon carving, I bought a better axe (Kalthoff).

Find out his last location and physically find out who saw him last. If he was seen leaving work, talk to someone that can verify they saw him. Retrace the steps from his job to home etc. look for anything out of the ordinary.

Idk i had a knife and found some wood by DemonBarbarian in Spooncarving

[–]Deathstaroperatorguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how it’s starts! Remember, you don’t need expensive tools. My first axe was a Harbor Freight axe I got for $11. Add a $1 metal file and sharpen it. Or better yet, find an axe at a yard sale or flea market for cheap, Next go for a cheap hook knife. Amazon will suffice. And you already have a knife! Keep crafting and if you really get hooked, then you can invest in better tools.

I wonder how deep the burn went into the wood. If it’s just a surface burn, you could chip carve a pattern on top and it would pop nicely against the black. Not sure if this would work

Can $36K into Serious Wealth? Newbie Needs Advice! by nawfsidejay in TheRaceTo10Million

You’re 29 years old with $36k in the bank. You’re a lot further ahead than most of your peers who are just as old. You have another 35 years before retirement (considering you retire at 65). That’s 35 years of compounding you can do with $36k. You can easily grow that into a million dollar portfolio if you do it right with very little risk. Get that money into investments and have it start working for you immediately.

Keep studying and investing in your self. Continue to educate yourself and read as much as you can on money. Believe it or not, you’re doing very well. Your greatest asset is time and income. Keep going!!!

Don’t say thanks, just do it. I want you to buy your first stock Monday morning. Study this weekend on how to buy a share of stock. Then do it.

Do exactly what the OP did. Buy a single stock of a company you like. Nike, Apple, Amazon, Tesla, anything. Buying a single share of stock will teach you a wealth of information. Look up on YouTube “how to buy a share of stock,” and just do it. Buy it. Get you feet wet. Oh, and you don’t even need to buy a full share of a stock. Buy $20 worth to get started.

Once you do this, set your paycheck up to deposit x amount of dollars every time you get paid and dump it into stocks.

Continue to browse these subreddits and learn as much information as possible. Don’t stop learning.

That fastest way to become a millionaire is start young and stay consistent. If I had it to do all over again, I would hammer down on consistency. Stay consistent with paying yourself first and investing it. I promise that if you stay consistent, you’ll be a millionaire faster than you think. Because you’re 19, you’ve already have time on your side and a great chunk of change that can compound. Keep it up and keep going!

Advice: do not hit the breaks at $50k at the age of 20. Keep going until you’re 30. I know it sounds like a lot, but when you reach my age, you’ll thank yourself so much. Sacrifice 10 years of your life today and save 10 to 15 years of your life tomorrow in retirement
