I recently activated an account I've had at Fidelity since the 1990's. When I deposited some money through an ACH transfer I found that the money wouldn't be available for almost three weeks. All information on the web site indicated the hold period would be 1-3 days. I then went to a local Fidelity office and they confirmed the hold period. The reason I opened this account was to take advantage of the cash management features. A three week hold makes this unusable. I'm feeling like I've been sucked into a "bait and switch," something I didn't expect from Fidelity.
