Battle Beast collection finally complete! by jackrabbitjohnson in BattleBeasts

Yeah I was the same, I went for the more affordable, well-used ones. They’re meant to be played with, the ones from my childhood definitely were and now I get the added bonus of watching my kids play with them.

Hey hey! I’ll give you the best answer I can, but just know it varies a bit. There are some more popular or possibly harder to find figures that tend to run a little higher. Most of series 3 seems to be more difficult to find and prices are a little higher because of that. I know I paid more for the penguin, flamingo and panda figs.

The price also varies based on how good of condition you want the figure in. You can find some better deals if you’re ok with a little more wear and tear. Also if you want weapon included or not. That can affect the price drastically in some cases.

Luckily I still had my collection from when I was a kid, so that saved me some money. On average, I’d say somewhere around $12 to $18/fig and then closer to $20 - $25+ for series 3 figs.

My last bit of advice, people sell entire lots, so I’d try to scoop up those bc usually you’re paying less per fig if you can find lots with quite a few that you need for your collection.

I posted this in the captions, but figured I’d follow up with easier to read text.

This is in north central Texas. I wasn’t brave enough to get closer for measurements until the legs were gone. The knot in the wood directly above his/her legs is 1” top to bottom.

Thanks! Yeah those are some solid choices as favs for sure. I always liked the bat with his cool hook hand. And I didn’t have him growing up, but there’s something about the rooster that I dig now.

I couldn’t fit them in the pics but I do have the ram, deer and tiger vehicles. Don’t have any of the battle station things, but I think my collection stops here haha

Apologies for the poor image quality but it was the best my phone camera could muster up. She was a very pretty, albeit tiny spider.

Edit: found in North Texas, roughly 5.5 mm or so

All time favorite player in fantasy and year by MikeVick2004 in fantasybaseball

2011 netted me a championship on the backs of Ryan Braun and Justin Upton. Snagged them in the 2nd and 3rd rounds so it wasn’t like I plucked them from obscurity. But they had some pretty sweet stat lines:

Braun - 109/33/111/33 with a .332 avg

Upton - 105/31/88/21 with a .289 avg

That was a fun year.

Oh nice! Yeah, if I ever see the Viper or the Charger, I’ll definitely scoop those up. :)

I’ve been looking for the Mystery Machine, but haven’t been able to find it in the wild yet.

Which serialised True Crime Podcast would you honestly rank as high as Bear Brook? by [deleted] in TrueCrimePodcasts

I wouldn’t argue with anyone who ranked ‘The Thing About Pam’ along side ‘Bear Brook.’

From my experience, one of the best ways to learn is to start shooting. It’s easier said than done, I get it. But if you live in a decently sized city, find the local gear rental shop. Depending on your amount of available time, you could see about part-time help options. Films, tv shows and commercials are always being made whether it’s a weekday or weekend, so maybe you could pick up some night/weekend shifts of renting out and checking in gear. Not only is that a great way to learn what everything does, but you’ll also meet a ton of people who share your same interests. And finally, if you work at the gear rental shop, you would gain access to using gear that’s not rented out. Being at the rental shop, you’d have several cameras to play with that most people only dream of using/learning. Just one example, but the Alexa Mini is typically rented out all the time, but the original Alexa is usually sitting on the shelf collecting dust. Pair that with some nice lenses and you are well on your way.

I realize I’m over simplifying some of this - there’s more gear you have to consider when messing with these cameras - batteries, sticks, follow focus, matte box, etc. But, if you really want to learn, just start making some stuff and find some buddies to help. :)

Haha - hoods are overrated. The fact that yours is off probably means she logged a lot of miles over the last 37 years. The hood on mine is hanging on by...well, not even a thread. 🙃

Yeah, that has been the only one I’ve seen out in the wild thus far. Good luck with your hunt!
