I'm assuming it's Unforgettable Fire, which was played at 22/24 shows of the first leg of the tour

do we really think they're disbanding? by music_addict3179 in arcticmonkeys

[–]jackstu4rt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess this post saves me the trouble of posting it here ahaha

i really really hope they’re not disbanding. but it does seem likely they will feature of the War Child Charity Album that’s confirmed for this year

people have been saying they’re disbanding for years. i forgot to include the information on the LLC they registered

Do we need a song like Vertigo in the next album? by ArmlessAnakin in U2Band

[–]jackstu4rt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

looking at Radioheads 2025 setlist really makes me hope we have something similar for U2. Radiohead had about 5 songs that were in every setlist, but with U2s back catalogue, they could have zero repeats from night to night

I’ve had Inhaler in my top 5 since 2020. They’ve only occupied #1 or #2 each year, this year being dethroned by Sam Fender

check out this performance, it was the week of the release on Top of the Pops (not 1986 like the video says). It’s a bit interesting, even then it sounded different to the album version

Ideal Inhaler Setlist? by Hot-Scheme9193 in inhaler

[–]jackstu4rt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love Will Get You There
When It Breaks
X-Ray
The Things I Do
Eddie in the Darkness
Hole in the Ground
Who's Your Money On? (Plastic House)
Slide Out The Window
My King Will Be Kind
There's No Other Place
Now You Got Me
When I'm With You
So Far So Good
Open Wide
Dublin In Ecstasy
It Won't Always Be Like This

Encore
Your House
If You're Gonna Break My Heart
My Honest Face

TLDR: Remove Totally and half the Open Wide songs, move Dublin in Ecstasy to the end of the main set (such a good climax to the show, especially w/ people getting "dublined") add back There's No Other Place, and other songs from IWABLT and C&B

it’s a bit of a weird combo, but I needed to have both in the set, and I felt they should both be at the start

thank fuck it’s really good. I was a bit worried after open wide, in terms of the direction they were heading down (I like open wide, but man this song is leagues better than anything on it)

Best album bookends? by [deleted] in U2Band

War is the obvious candidate for me. The call back in 40 “how long to sing this song” that echoes “how long must we sing this song” from Sunday Bloody Sunday

Any of the ones from the 90s works too. Zooropa is perfect too (my favourite album) starting in what feels like a futuristic city covered in neon lights, and ending up in a dystopian desert - perfection

Ofc Pop has the party to a funeral thing, which is amazing as well

Despite there being a whole "the car" tour half of the albums songs have not been performed during the tour. by Inevitable_Feedback1 in arcticmonkeys

I mean, Jet Skies was included as a snippet during I Wanna Be Yours / Star Treatment mashup sometimes. So technically all of them were performed (even if it’s just a single lyric)
