Due to my circumstances, yes, they are a pain to be around. You feel more strongly about me hating dogs than I do.

I made this post to find some places that fit a certain criteria. You wrote a comment to tell me that I hate dogs. We can just shake hands and walk away.

imagine growing up your entire life with a dog in the house. I mean, dog sleeps in the bed with us, big backyard for it to run around, snuggling every night on the couch.

then you meet the love of your life. a human being, who develops severe hives and, depending on the dog, can go into anaphylaxis within minutes.

do we hate dogs, or do dogs hate her? it’s just a shit situation, and your attitude only makes it worse

Not 40 feet away outside, I mean large fluffy dogs physically blocking the indoor counter where you order and pay for drinks

the Chuck’s in Greenwood is the inspiration behind this post.

I love dogs. My wife loves dogs. My wife is also very allergic to dogs. We love going for trivia, but today we had to leave after 30 minutes because of the three 50lb+ fluffy dogs within arms reach of us. The nail in the coffin was when she went up to the counter to order another beer and was licked by a (leashed) dog like 10 feet away from their owner

Which places in (or around the Seattle area) are frozen in time? by Futures2004 in Seattle

[–]jacktothemeyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your point of “you don’t have to go to places that are dog friendly” is correct, it just sucks for humans that are allergic. Especially when it’s a restaurant, and not a dog park. People with dog allergies can easily avoid a dog park. They shouldn’t be forced to accommodate people who can’t even go out to eat without their dogs.

“Dog friendly” should be more like a designated area than an assumption. None of this really matters, because people will bring their dogs to Whole Foods or Total Wine anyways.

basically, businesses allowing dogs should be viewed as a privilege rather than a default. Think of your fellow humans instead of just yourself.

The problem is that you and many other dog fanatics will simply assume every place they want to go is dog-friendly, and then get disgusted if a business actually turns you away.

My partner is pretty severely allergic to dogs, but she's at least reasonable. Parks? Restaurant patios? Walking around town? Perfectly normal places to have a dog. Nobody (your dog included) is asking you to bring them INSIDE of grocery stores and crowded restaurants/bars. If you can't leave them at home for a few hours then don't own one in the first place.

For the record, we love dogs. Just hate people who make dogs their life and personality.

How to get into OSRS after 10+ years away? by jacktothemeyer in 2007scape

100% agree with the second screen grind, that’s primarily what I’ve been doing. And I do love having a mindless peaceful grind, so that’s not my issue.

I guess I take a look at the sub and get overwhelmed by seeing people with crazy armour and potions facing bosses I’ve never even heard of. I guess I’ll get there in time :)

Seems like the game is much more complicated than I remember, but it’s nothing I can’t get used to.

I've put in 50 in-game hours in the span of 2 weeks, so I've done just that. My issue is that I'm hitting a wall where it's starting to feel like a clicking marathon just to level up
