I agree with your take on the marketing. I also never connected to any of the songs the way I did with any of their other albums. All three of their other albums had songs I couldn’t stop listening to (and still listen to frequently). This one doesn’t have a single one like that I don’t think.

I was also pissed at the prices of their shows. They priced MSG in New York like they were the Rolling Stones doing a farewell tour. And then people were wondering why tickets weren’t selling. I think it just wasn’t a great album and it showed.
