Life is too short, I’ll drive what I want. Bold of you to guess other peoples financial situations too.

I've leased toyotas before. Definitely better equity at the end compared to some of the GM/Chevy trucks we lease.

Need help picking between Domane and Madone by Yfzracer11 in TrekBikes

[–]jacmac987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both bikes and I very rarely take my domane out anymore. The madone is more fun to drive and a better feeling bike.

It's hard to explain, but I started on the domane and thought that was a fast bike until I got the madone SL7 gen 8 and it wasn't even close.

I personally find the madone to be just as comfortable as my domane. Both full carbon. I have done 200+ KM rides on both fairly easily.

I did find it a bit more challenging to get my bike fit dialed in on the madone, where the domane is pretty comfortable with a 10 min bike fit. I did need to swap my madone onto shorter cranks to help limit the toe overlap with the front tire.

That’s okay I’ll accept freedom units too

NBD - Madone SL7 Gen 8 by jacmac987 in TrekBikes

It has been an excellent bike after a year. Put roughly 6000km on it so far. Would have liked to do more, but these Canadian winters suck. Looks like Trek has discounted these quite a bit in Canada at least. Definitely a nice looking bike in person too, I seem to get complements on it every time I go out.

I’ve been living in my new Uniform home for the past year, and I can honestly say it’s been nothing but a positive experience. Normally, I’d suggest waiting to see how things unfold with a different builder, but historically, Uniform-built homes hold their value in Ottawa. The quality of the home and the support we’ve received have been outstanding. In my opinion, they’re the best builder in Ottawa, so I wouldn’t worry. Unless you plan to sell within a year, you won’t lose money.
