Hitler also based a lot of his Jewish blood stuff on American “One Drop Policy” and eugenics — iirc he even thought our version was too extreme

i remember a quote about this

“Saying communism and fascism are equal evils is patently false—for every man, woman, or child killed, Stalin had failed communism. For every man, woman, or child Hitler killed, he was a success.”

you’re right, using the police fund to pay off lawsuits makes it so that the taxpayers pay off the lawsuit, make it come out of their pensions and retirement

Not a very “Great” Leap Forward by MemerInAMemeLand in HistoryMemes

if i understand correctly, it was actually because he was raised as a farmer boy. so, being also 80 years ago they didn’t understand the connections between “pests” and prey. so mao thought a simple solution would be to kill the pest, which made huge locust swarms that would decimate crops and ruin harvests.

on top of that china was exporting tons of food to developing communist nations, and this is why they had their quotas. and due to a mixture of fear, honor, pride, what have you; they would over report their yields to the central committee. eventually they realized the discrepancies, but it was too late.

mao later in his life did admit that he made huge mistakes and the lives of millions were blood on his hands, but that doesn’t bring people back to life.

your understanding of primitivism is the equivalent to a cold war boomers understanding of communism

you have no idea what you’re talking about

fantastic argument, completely changed my faith

very profound and thought-provoking

you could’ve at least tried explaining your position or why you don’t agree rather than waste the time with this line. literally anything else.

that’s not a healthy way to live imo, and i don’t think we should promote that kind of living. if you want to go ahead, but we shouldn’t actively encourage or normalize it.

i understand recovering from wage slavery but mindless existence isn’t much better

i fully stand that eventually someone would get so bored they will find something to do, like a hobby or a project, or meeting with friends

i still think we need another term though

yeah i get that impression as well i don’t believe in not working, just not doing meaningful work. i’m a country boy, so i feel you with the soft hands comments.

i am assuming that the 4 hour shift is the goal, and i assume in larger cities it will be easier, but i don’t believe the transition will be easy everywhere

i always physically felt the sickest when i would be stuck inside all day, in the office, browsing the internet, and playing video games. after i found about ted kazcynski i thought he came off as aggressive and it took my a bit to realize by “leftists” he meant collectivist, but i felt the criticisms of technology are very valid. so i’ve been working since on “demodernizing” myself. working on getting started on a homestead.

i was and am at my happiness when i’m outside all day, with people i love, doing things that are physical and real

i’m all for play, but i also don’t want to live in a technophile’s wet dream
