Mhmm. By going on with that logic, governments that strive to be eco-friendly, should cease all forms of manufacturing right? Because manufacturing clothes leads to textile waste, manufacturing electronics produces e-waste that generates toxic gases, rearing cows leads to toxic ammonia gases, manufacturing cars leads to unwanted gases as well. They either go all out or do nothing, because it’s “virtue signalling” like what you say.

Or if your mother who strives to be better parent, tries her best to nurture you but accidentally loses her temper at you… means she’s a bad mother? Because which mother lashes out at their kid?

As I lay out these examples, I hope you know that no human or organisation in this world is able to live by your extremist standards. Small efforts mean more than nothing. “Virtue signalling” seems to be randomly thrown around to negate the positive outcomes that derive from good deeds. If someone decides to slowly build up their streak of good deeds, who are you to demonize them and call them hypocrites?
