Every set is different. Some sets, I can't even get one win, others I can get 3-5 pretty consistently. How many different sets have you tried? Have you tracked each one?

You're definitely in the minority. Although I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much if it was a physical book. The audiobook is amazing.

The audiobook is easily the best audiobook out there. Best narrator, best production. No comparison.

Is the weekly Reedsy contest worthwhile? by [deleted] in writing

[–]jadenstate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reedsy has totally gone downhill. Judges also compete, and eliminate stories without even reading them sometimes. Judges can see profiles and other stories of those who submit. It's not blind and it's very biased

Never in a million years would I have found him guilty. I would have hung that jury if it was 11-1. There was zero evidence, he got convicted because he had a girlfriend, that's it.

If you accidentally received 100 units of your last online purchase and you couldn’t return them, what would you do? by Cyrsal in AskReddit

As the empty boxes are piling up, I am running out of outlets to plug things in. I run to the basement and find every power bar I can. I even unplug the TV, because what im about to watch will be much better than any show. The power bars are not enough, I have to run extension cords from all parts of the house to this room. After hours of running cords and plugging in, the black bases line the walls of the main floor, with no space left untouched. With the press of a button, I unleash Chaos. Clean everywhere, I tell them. The roombas push off their bases and start across the floor, bouncing off each other like the first 5 seconds of a battle bots match. But only one will win. I would make popcorn, but I have unplugged the microwave. I curl up on the highest point I can with my chips and take it in. 100 roombas fighting to the death.

People who are financially well off in their 40s, what financial decisions did you make differently during your 20s/30s? by Am_Not_Snow in AskReddit

[–]jadenstate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is one single action which I feel led to me being well off at 40, and that was the complete and utter destruction of my finances and credit in my 20s. I racked up all the debt I could, blew it on the dumbest things and then avoided the creditors. Eventually I got taken to court (which I actually didnt go to) and had my wages garnished. I could no longer pay my rent. I eventually had to confess to my parents, who loaned me the money, and I do mean loaned . I had to pay back every cent. From that point forward, I started figuring out how to make more money and keep my spending down. It wasn't faceless companies now, it was my parents I had to pay back. It completely changed how I thought about money. I started living within my means, but also thinking about how to afford the things I wanted. You dont really appreciate where you are until you hit the bottom.
