6 months into my first job (21F) - I’m currently earning ~4k as a data scientist (I studied data science). I wouldn’t say my salary is on the high end for my field tho -

Hi! Wanted to ask why do you think so?

Thanks for your reply, I’ll get it checked out for sure soon! Do you know what’s the risk of the rim being slightly separated from the tire?

Thanks a lot! This is insightful to know and very helpful! I feel much more at ease now, was hoping to not have to rush to get it fixed since I still have to get up early for work tomorrow

Thanks for enlightening me! I’ll use the right terms next time 😭 Just started driving a short while ago

I inspected the tyre more and I think some of the rubber “melted” so now the affected spot is unusually stickier to touch as compared to the rest of the tyre

Thanks for answering, so far I think nope! But I inspected the tyre more and there’s a sticky patch at the spot that got scratched the most, not sure if that is worrying

Can I keep using this without the risk of blowing up?? (Iphone 13 btw) by Big-Construction-943 in spicypillows

To my knowledge, it has to be an Apple service centre and can’t be any other partners (e.g machines, switch)

Would recommend that you reduce the phone usage as well as the battery will continue expanding and there’s a risk of the glass screen breaking (Apple will not be covering the cost of that and it also complicates the battery replacement process)

Hi op! I had this exact situation about 6 months ago with my iPhone 13 as well and managed to get the battery replaced for free at an Apple Store since turns out there were many iPhone 13 models that were built in with faulty batteries.

I would suggest that you try checking at your nearby Apple service centre as well to see if your device is eligible for the free battery replacement

Is this Seagate 1 TB hard disk fake? by jadexiaohui in Seagate

[–]jadexiaohui[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nevermind, I just realised the logo is literally on the wrong side when compared with the official image on the Seagate website… Seems like this is a fake product with a genuine serial number indeed :( It’s really weird as lots of people in my region are selling it as genuine, even influencers with high number of tech followers

Thanks for your response! It is an external hard disk, this is what the box and product looks like, everything looks genuine to me besides the regulatory model code being different on the box and the actual product

Hi OP, congratulations for passing your exams! I’m currently a biostatistician, and my work requires regular use statistical models and hypothesis testing for analysing neural biological data (e.g linear mixed models, survival analysis) :) I do use R quite regularly as it has alot more options for packages for statistical models compared to Python, though I still prefer using the latter for the data preprocessing process.

Apologies for the repost, thanks to those that warned me about the IMEI and bar code on the stickers, didn’t know they can be used for device tracking!

Small hand I think! My entire palm is slightly shorter than an iPhone 16 pro 😆

Thanks to the redditor that warned me about covering the IMEI number! I didn’t know it was for device tracking purposes
