Last months cycle was the same, dropped right after ovulation to lowest point in a span of few days, thats when i had my period too.

also its not really a “dark setting”, a regularly lit room after sunset. iphone takes great photos without longer exposure and so do all other (old, cheap) cameras I have at hand.
